Gideon, 30 Aug 2010Does the N8 have offline navigation?yes offline sat-nav as long as u don't turn on A-GPS which consumes data to find ur location faster. otherwise it's a perfectly capable sat-nav unit---might even be better thanks to wifi positioning-->new feature :)on n8

RONALD, 30 Aug 2010but we miss led light on n8 ;-(same...even though led flash are no good, I still wish nokia would'ev have integrated them to be used as a torch....many times came in handy on my n86

[deleted post]completely true that megapixel don't mean better quality, but no way in he// can a 1.3 megapixel cam match the quality of a 5 megapixel no matter how good the lens quality is or how big the sensor is...there are just not enough pixels to creat a detailed image especially if u zoom or crop it. And the N8 got what it take...big sensor, pixel counts, excellent lense, xenon flash...

today, the 31st of august was supposed to be the realease date for this mobile according to earlier posts....:S...there is no exact release date announced yet..(as far as i know)...if anyone has any info regarding the realease date, please do reply...:)!!

Guy..stop.fighting.over.fones.as.of.now.N8.has.the.best.hardware.no.fone.comes.close.to.it.Facts.will.not.change.but.it.depends.on.ppl.and.wat.they.need....Diff.ppl.diff.choices.but.plz.u.cant.put.a.fone.dwn.wic.is..nt.even.released....for.me.N8.is.the.best.fone.till.date....

AMANITA, 30 Aug 2010Yeah ! I have N73 m.e and N82 ! Great great phones ! I stil... moreNO phone can replace N82 . N8 have many problems 1- there is no lens cover for the camera - 2- mono loudspeaker which meen low loudness - 3-if it doesn't play avi it meens it is the end for me to buy this phone .

anyway am buying one cuz i love taking shots thats why am using pixon12 but am sure the n8 is a better imaging device

N73 has a great audio quality too,I loved to hack it :D ! I love xenon of N82 ! Photography is my hobby and I used these phones as a camera during my tours ! After using N82 I decided to buy a phone having a xenon cam,nt led and I am so happy since N8 is announced ,just waiting for it patiently ! :)

i used to compare its pictures with that of Sony ericsson 3.2 Mp camera phones...and buddy i dont think i need to tell u which was better...!!
I think the Carl Zeiss Lens is the Magic behind it !!!..
So i guess carl zeiss lens wud give good quality pics.
and 720p bonus..!!

I obviously haven't used the N8 or even seen it in person, but from the looks of it, it looks solid. Like something built to last.
I have used one of the Galaxy Devices. The Vibrant. Very nice capabilities, theres no question about that. But the build quality is suspect, It looks and feels cheap and it feels like holding a potato chip.
I'd be afraid to drop it on a rubber carpet in fear that it would break into a million pieces.

can anybody plz tell me what level of capacitive touch does n8 have?
Iphone possesses a level 8 touch which is the best.
I just hope n8 too meets the competition.

But th... morei do not need LED on my Galaxy S. I used my iPhone for many years with no Flash. I think can use and love my Galaxy S without Flash. A least get Android Os and many other advantages that N8 no give me.
I owen my sony TX-7 and no by my cell phone only for Camera. ha ha

you have to go for N8 or any Nokia phones or Apple or Motorola ;).
But anyway i got your point, and my view is that
symbian phones are more stable than Samsung ( irrespective of android or bada os)
