AnonNook, 30 Aug 2010AMOLED capacitive, 3.5in screen? 16GB internal storage and ... moreyes, but what about the applications on os - compare with iphone 3gs,4 or the phones with an android.-nokia has only low quality app.-poor games,poor news, poor music,-in the end is just a powerfull phone but useless.

I had in hands n8 and an iphone 4- rezolution of n8 -poor low quality- better iphone4 , and the touch is perfect on iphone4 , and than i tryed an samsung galaxy- is perfect situated between ip4 and n8. .But the price of n8 is too high ..

AMOLED capacitive, 3.5in screen? 16GB internal storage and 12MP camera? 680Mhz processor with dedicated GPU? All of this combined with a new OS designed around the touch screen?
My God. It seems Nokia is finally out of the cell phone dark ages. Well, partially, anyway. It only took years after everyone else did it! I feel kind of proud of them.

i guess there are forums for all other phone type so why wont u guy go to ur various forums and admonish ur very beloved ios and andriod phones,left to me they are all crappy and u are probably regretting why u got it in the first place.The N8 is not even officially out and u are all yapping crap about it i guess u are scared that when it does come out it gonna be the rave of that moment and u feel left out and alone with ur ios and android phones. i luv the freedom nokia provides i hate to be limited and the ios is so very limiting. am waiting for it to be officially shipped so i could get one.

I'm not one to quote Steve Jobs, but he was absolutely correct that there is no such thing as a perfect device. EVERY device out there has its strengths and YES it's weaknesses. I don't care if it's a Samsung, Nokia, Apple, or HTC. I don't care if its a Galaxy, iPhone, Wave, Droid or the N8. I don't care if its a Symbian, Android or Windows Mobile.
They ALL have flaws and NONE are perfect. And anyone who thinks otherwise is an imbecile!
ALL that matters is the device you choose is perfect for you.

Only thing what we can do is maybe to wait...
I wait until the release then its more clear if it will support divx or not. We have to wait something like 2 weeks then everything wont be a rumor anymore ....

If you click Specifications on the top left of this page (under the picture of the N8) you will see that the specs do show Gorilla Glass and Divx Player.
Or did you mean the specs on teh Nokia site ?

@yogi_77 You should find most DivX videos will play on the N8 out of the box.

It is confirmed from nokia and damian that it has gorilla glass and divX support natively but dont know why it isnt added in official specs !

but until now there arent any app for n97 which plays avi or divx smooth that it is watchable!

In fact it's just the opposite. The iPhones is as popular as ever LOL
Every new phone that comes out now is an iPhone killer. Didn't you know that...LOL
Might as well face it folks. Love it or hate it, the iPhone is here to stay and it's going to keep selling and selling and selling.
I don't own an iPhone nor do I desire to own one. But I can live with the fact that alot of people do and I can live with the fact that it's the most popular device going.
