                    hear what you are saying(sort of,not very tech orientated at the sharp end) but I still think 8 months or so is a long time to update an OS.I’d expect something built up from scratch in those timeframes.I aint hatin tho,I will be purchasing this phone when it comes out and expect to be very pleased with it!
                    Really really wish it would have had videolight tho,alas!

                      @Josh
                      Several UK companies are now taking pre-orders on-line, including Play.com, Expansys, Handtec, and Clove Technologies, to name but three… and of course MobileFun, whom you mentioned.
                      I am still hoping that Nokia will (eventually!) offer it for a slightly lower figure on the UK website, as the ‘best offer’ I have seen up to now is £410.

                        I have kinda grown to like it from recently using a hand-me-down iPhone. I like that it lists the phone numbers instead of having to call your voicemail. It would be nice if Symbian will have it, or something similar. Not that it would be a deal breaker…

                          Is ovi maps written in qt?
                          Oh i still can see the zoom bar in the video? They should remove it in retail firmware
                          would be nice to see garmin xt ported to n8, more detailed map data.

                            I am really looking forward to checking this phone out and seeing it in action.

                            I'm sick of seeing the same old HTC's, Samsung's and Motorola's that all look like they rolled off of the same assembly line. They are bland, boring and uninspired

                            This design is an either a love it or hate it proposition and I like that. I'm tired of lukewarm water.

                              sony kurniawan, 28 Aug 2010isn't mostly phone these days didnt have lens cover on it? ... moreWell i don't think so. I've Nokia N82 for 3 years this November, till now there is no scratch. For me it's better a bit thicker then there is no lens cover. You won't notice at all for a couple mm thicker except you compare it side by side.

                              I'm a fan of Nokia and i'm used to use all the menu and the phone book. And this is my next Nokia to replace my old N82.

                              I think if N8 has a lens camera cover and could easily replace the battery without having to use a screwdriver , this is the perfect mobile phone.
                              Why i said it's better if could be easily replace the battery because sometimes when my cell phone occasionally hangs (although the Nokia with the most stable operating system was still able to hang like my N82, since i bought it, i got hang for less then 10 times for almost 3 years) so I can easily remove the battery and is only steps that can be done because sometimes we can not turn off or restart the phone with the on-off button

                                        Andy Satria Gunawan, 28 Aug 2010You're right.. But, isn't better if it has lens cover? Ev... moreisn't mostly phone these days didnt have lens cover on it?

                                        from what i've been read, put a lens cover will make the design thicker (uglier for some ppl) and there's also issue about dust that can scratch your lens.

                                        i, myself prefer having phone without lens cover. it's more handy that way.
