What are the pros and cons of Nokia N8?

Actually I used my n8 for almost 19-20 months. I was hoping some good updates from nokia till last month. But nokia gone out of market. No software update, the latest belle refresh was also not good. Poor ram, poor interface, poor battery, poor processor, only camera was excellent till now, its better than other smartphone in the market.
So finally I bought samsung galaxy note2. Its just awesome phone.
I think nokia should have concentrated on developing symbian. Like android they are updating their firmware in series with lots of new features. This way nokia would have developed symbian..

pseudonym, 24 Dec 2012I just purchased an N8 from a very well-known online retail... morei have been using n8 for more than 18 months and i can assure u it is still one of d best around. I never faced any problem at all. Camera awsm and very durable. I dropped it many times but not a single scratch at all. Brilliant phn.

I also have Nokia N79, Nokia 5320 expressmusic and Nokia 1280. All the phones are superhit models. Thats why I buy new phones over old models without selling those (old models).

hey n8, without your 12 MB camera and xenon flash you are not a smartphone compared to any apple or android device

Let me know is SWYPE input working on N8??IT stopped working in mine all of a sudden and since then i have uninstalled and reinstalled it several times...it gets installed but refuses to work...

This is totally waste mobile and wasting money. Very poor audio, poor resolution, very poor battery life, small screen 3.5" only, not supporting skype video calls. Overall my advise not to buy any nokia smartphone because nokia is not supporting many applications. my recommondation sony is the best samrt phone

My n8 is not playing video/x-hx-divx but only it audio which even takes long time to load after belle refresh update. Is there any video player application that can play it?

jam, 24 Dec 2012If u r nt able download frm ur ovi store check the time and... moreThe date and time settings are proper..But still I am not able to re-download the apps from "My Stuff" ... actually , it is NOT only apps from "My stuff", but all the apps "download buttons" are grey-ed out..

I can see all my apps in "My Stuff" column but when cant re-download it since the "download button" is "grey"-ed out..

To be able to download apps from Nokia store you need to be signed into your Nokia account. If you're not signed in you can't download from the store.

I have been using an N79 since 2009, so I'm sure the N8 will feel like quite a step up. I'm especially excited about having a better camera with me nearly always!

hi. I am not able to download any of the apps from nokia ovi store. The "download " button is greyed out and hence it is not possible to download. Can you guys help me how to overcome this ? I m getting this n8 this weekend. Would be great to solve this before i start using this mobile

Hello to all N8 owners, just added N8 to my collection of Nokia phones, great camara,
and now updated to Belle refresh[ had Symbian ^3 installed,] it is a different phone
no problems so far, and prefer it to lumia 800, had to try it, looks like 808 is last great
Nokia phone, if price drops might buy one, no regrets buying N8 Brilliant.
