ALonZo, 05 Jul 2010Flashlite 4? Your kidding right? Thats called dodgy flash s... more*Flash Lite 4.0 first found on Nokia N8*
With the release of Nokia N8 and Adobe CS5, the
Flash Lite 4.0 is also unveiled and Nokia N8
becomes the first smartphone which support
Flash Lite 4.0!
It's sad that Apple doesn't support Flash content
on their handsets, but Nokia gives us the chance
to get various Flash content on their phones.
Flash Lite 4.0 will support ActionScript 3.0 which
means a lot of nice online Flash games will be
available on Nokia phones in the future. And
what is excited, Flash Lite 4.0 will support multi-
touch, geolocation and accelerometer.
With the success of MyPhone which is based on
Flash Lite 3.0, we will develop more new Flash
Lite apps based on the new FL 4.0 to bring you
the coolest experience on Nokia phones.

Look at this video buddy, if you still think that the performance is not satisfiable, then your expectation to a phone is really too high i think.
Satio is not slow at all imho.

I hope the N8 does prove me wrong, but so far the signs aint looking good.

After seeing some of the videos. It leaves mixed questions. Some of the videos show the firmware looking pretty quick while other leave a lot answered for. The especially Low C: drive Phone memory of 135mb still isn't much to play with, unless there are more than several high memory intensive apps running. Virtual mem if it's there won't really help, although it may against stopping memory leaks as such but virtual memory is like a desktop pc's mechanical hard disk memory swap file which is much slower.
This isn't the case for nokia. If S^3 does integrate a swap file, a virtual mem pool I don't know how much it will be. But it's questionable as to how well it will work from stopping memory leaks, & memory full errors, beta stage firmware will tend to have these memory leaks bugs anyway.
Like I said though. Some of the newer videos leave a lot to be answered for with performance. It needs to be very fast & smooth with no lag really the UI. memory needs to be more even tho S^3 is low on resources & efficient it's still not enough & it could have done with more RAM I suppose. As long as issues like these are sorted out it's absolutely quick & stable, with no Memory full issues, no bugs in the OS, then this phone will surprise me.
However I am still considering the features the Android OS brings over Symbian. But don't forget they both have their pros & cons. Be careful making decisions on the main advantages that each OS brings on their function, feature table. Then choose which hardware has the most ability to handle it well. That's how I look at it. Since User interaction is key there just might be something different about the way you use, operate, navigate your previous phones.
