The fact is, this device is not out in the market and no one has actually personally see it hang or stuck yet.

Btw, Symbian 5th running on my Samsung Innov8 haven't hang (not as i know of) after 1 and a half years of usage.

After seeing some of the videos. It leaves mixed questions. Some of the videos show the firmware looking pretty quick while other leave a lot answered for. The especially Low C: drive Phone memory of 135mb still isn't much to play with, unless there are more than several high memory intensive apps running. Virtual mem if it's there won't really help, although it may against stopping memory leaks as such but virtual memory is like a desktop pc's mechanical hard disk memory swap file which is much slower.

This isn't the case for nokia. If S^3 does integrate a swap file, a virtual mem pool I don't know how much it will be. But it's questionable as to how well it will work from stopping memory leaks, & memory full errors, beta stage firmware will tend to have these memory leaks bugs anyway.

Like I said though. Some of the newer videos leave a lot to be answered for with performance. It needs to be very fast & smooth with no lag really the UI. memory needs to be more even tho S^3 is low on resources & efficient it's still not enough & it could have done with more RAM I suppose. As long as issues like these are sorted out it's absolutely quick & stable, with no Memory full issues, no bugs in the OS, then this phone will surprise me.

However I am still considering the features the Android OS brings over Symbian. But don't forget they both have their pros & cons. Be careful making decisions on the main advantages that each OS brings on their function, feature table. Then choose which hardware has the most ability to handle it well. That's how I look at it. Since User interaction is key there just might be something different about the way you use, operate, navigate your previous phones.

But the truth is that typical Nokia, it will probably end up being another price of Symbian run rubbish! Have you not seen the videos to the phone? The phone's response rate is like being at the dentist....painfull!

Painfull phone, well done Nokia for sticking with Symbian. High expectations with the same old crap OS. Nothing will ever change if Nokia keep this snail.

samsung wave sucks. the only advantage of wave over n8 is the 1ghz and the sa screen

anyway n8 processor can catch up with that bec it has a powerful gpu and enough cpu and ram

Nikki, 05 Jul 2010any one know any app similar to skyfire ?? pls replyopera mini or opera mobile are both great browsers. the difference between the two is that opera mobile is designed specifically for mobiles, but the mini works fine too. just go to www.opera.com and follow the download links. i find opera faster than skyfire, but one big disadvantage of opera is that unlike skyfire, it can't read flash.
