I want it to be available on the website as always but also included in the new phones. Of course I don't want the whole world in my phone. I will add which ever country I need when I travel but just just the country of origin and its neighbor.

The voice guidance recently became free as well (for selected, new phones) but that's exactly what I want to avoid. If they removed that extra step of users having to download maps themselves, it would make it much more of a selling point. Like for me, if I buy it in Malaysia, having Malaysian, Singaporean and Thailand maps preloaded would be great and I don't think it would cause too much damage to the on board 16BG storage.

The GPS service and the maps are free from Nokia but its up to you how you get it into your phone. If you download it over your data plan then you will be charged (provided your don't have unlimited data plan) but by alternatively downloading it via WIFI or downloading it into your PC and then uploading it to your phone will mean you technically don't pay a cent (or what ever is your currency).
I would like if Nokia preloads localized maps into they phones and save the users that extra step.

I am not familiar with Nokia but last time I saw one, it had to download maps when needing them, thus requiring a data plan and tower coverage. Has this changed?

Crazy Daisy, 26 May 2010I would like to know does it have qwerty keyboard.
Also ... moreN97 and N97 mini might be useless.
5800 was a good deal and value for a low price.
The N900 is an amazing piece of hardware and is still unmatched by any other smartphone.

I would like to know does it have qwerty keyboard.
Also I really really don't understand how it's possible to use this battery as I have Nokia N97 Mini with same battery and today for example with fully charged battery I went to the mountain. I used Nokia sport tracking from 11:30 am. I made 12 photos and the battery died in 14:30 pm.
I was very dissapointed because our mountain trail was 8 hours. I wanted to know what how long in km we were walking /by using Nokia sport tracker/.
I had 2 calls each less than a minute.
Even when using this battery /mini97/ for all days work and some conversation, sometimes even before the end of the day battery is dead.
I like Nokia very much and change models each time a new interesting model is on the market, but I don't understand why lately Nokia spoils and fail in specifications of the new models.
There is much I can say for N97, for N97 Mini for N900...
We need better battery time and more RAM available.

[deleted post]If you're the type who wants to exploit your phone and use it to its fullest power, I suggest N900.
But if you're the type who wanted a practical phone with a good camera just for a daily use, then I suggest N8.
