OLED stands for Organid Ligt emitting Diode...and has the LOWEST power consumtion and probably longest lifespan. It's the newest and high-tech thing invented for portanble devices
You couldn't have heard such non-sense as OLED short-living TFT technology :)) TFT is outdated, AMOLED is the latest thing in technology.

in one of the article I read, it says that in about 1-2 years, an OLED display will have a decreased contrast and intensity. Is it true??

the competition blows this pho... moreit has allready been discussend 1000000 times that symbian doesn't need lagre processor (power) to run smoothly...please GET A CLUE befoe posting.
Why don't you compare it with your desktop then if it's all the same to you...I guess you can;t see the difference!

AMOLED is an optical illusion. Because of organic matter, display increases contrast & colour intensity, naturally. So pictures looks great on AMOLED, but tranfer same picture to computer & you can see real picture, with lesser contrast & intensity. Read review of Omnia HD in gsmarena. Samsung holds about 3,000 patents for AMOLED worldwide & the biggest manufacture of AMOLED displays (TV, Mobiles, etc.) in the world.

Hardcore competition.
Lots of hatred also (amongst fans of different brands). Nokia definitely provide good music quality in upcoming handsets (All C, E, X PHONES). "LOUDNESS" is mentioned in audio features of N8, E5, X2. Check "Forum.Nokia.com".
N8 is true multimedia smartphone. So its total insanity if anybody compares it to others in terms of processor or ram. Whatever the hardware N8 have, thats enough for smooth, responsive & pleasant operation of symbian.

N series still the best in my opinion...love all n series...and keeps getting better...cant wait for this one to come out...

many phones have 384mb ram and 1.3ghz cpu is made now

Anonymous, 09 May 2010lol. you're wrong. it doesn't only increase the photos's si... morewell, in some cases, it's true that when you just look at the megapixel value, it's just a matter of the photo size, megapixel value doesn't always guarantee the photo quality, if you have a 20 megapixel camera but the sensor is super crap, then you'll get a very large image with a super crap quality (noise all over, color is all wrong, distortion, etc)
but in this N8 case, both the megapixel value and the sensor are superb!! The sensor it the largest yet in a cellphone
