n8 has superior sound clarity in earphone than arc & iphone. it has superior stereo widening also, so it gives superior surround sound with maximum depth. so n8 is the best hanset for music plaback. I have experience with n8, experia arc, galaxy s & iphone 4s

    n8 have superior camera(12mp), super surround sound in earphone than any other ericson, galaxy & iphone 4s. i have personally checked it. please don't post anything without the knowledge about the phone. n8 don't have a good speaker like ericson, & galaxy. but it does not mean that n8's sound is poor in earphone. almost all nokia phone have comparitively bad. but all x series and n series nokia provides superior sound in earphone than other phone.
    so pls check it & post currect details only

        I am using N8 for the last 6 months.
        I like:
        -Its camera and xenon flash
        -Its style
        -Battery backup is normally 2 days, which is more than other touch screens
        -Music player


        I don't like:
        -in belle OS, there is no option for edit labels in contacts
        -in belle OS, there is no option to sort songs based on artists or albums separately.
        -in belle, it will not show the remaining battery level in %.

        In overall, it's worth for money.

                  As on today Nokia N8 is the best featured phone, even better than 2nd generation phones. I am Nokia N8 user. It is excellent piece of hardware. It is gsm all world phone. You can use it in any country. All 2g (850,900,1800,1900), 3g (850,900,1700,1900,2100) frequencies are there. It has screen of 3.5 inch Amoled touchscreen, 16GB internal mass memory, 256 MB RAM, 512 MB flash ROM. It has gprs, edge class 34 which connects you fastest on internet by any phone (296 kbps), wheras majority of phone connects at 236.7 kbps. It has Wi-Fi, USB micro v.2.0, USB go on the support. You can connect it to pen drive, hard drive, usb key board, usb mouse, and usb hub. After usb hub you can connect keyboard, mouse, pen drive, hard drive all together. Moreover you can connect key board and mouse with blue tooth also. You can connect you ordinary tv with your phone 3.5 mm jack (av/rca) and with high definition tv with HDMI port. Moreover by installing DLNA you can also connect to your dlna compatible tv. You can open, .pdf files by adobe reader, word, ecxel by office, flash files by flash lite 4.0 (small version of latest flash player for smartphones). It has a good 12 megapixel camera with excellent recording 720p in mpeg and .3gp also. It has two cameras one for video calling. CPU is 680 mhz, pretty nice speed. Browser is not good, but I use opera mobile 12 browser in this phone, which opens, mobile site as well as full desktop sites, with html5 support. Video player, video editor are very nice. Battery is just 1200 mAH. But, I don't mind this is mini computer. It has fm transmitter, you can listen songs from your phone to your car. We can play video upto 4-5 hours, Not bad. There are so many features, voice dialling and so more difficult to write in this forum. You can save your battery by doing following things:
                  1. Always charge the full battery.
                  2. Activate power saving mode.
                  3. Mute unnecessary tone, like key tones, call vibration tones, touch screeen vibration tones.
                  4. Use wired headphone rather than speaker phone.
                  5. Deactivate backbround animation effects. Select menu- settings- themes- general- options- theme effects off.
                  6. Deactivate the big clock screen saver.
                  7. Make WI-FI, and bluetooth off.
                  8. Make widgets in off line mode.
                  9. Select gprs when needed. Otherwise it will try to connect to internet and drain your battery.
                  10. If you are using 2g, then select gsm instead of dual mode. Otherwise it will scan and drain your battery.
                  11. The back light drain battery. So go go to menu- settings- display- make light sensor minimum and also adjust screen time out 1 minute and light time out 30 seconds.
                  12.Notifications light can be turned off to save battery.
                  13. Leaving application in background takes battery power. So always check by pressing and holding menu key and close all those you don't need.
                  14. Menu-messaging- multimedia message- multimedia retrievel- manual. If you leave it automatic, it will drain your battery.
                  There are some other advance options too, but for an ordinary users these are enough. Moreover I can drain the battery in 1-2 hours. Just connect to 3g with 10mbps speed. Watch movies or songs in 720p with full brightness and full volume. You should know more the internet download speed more battery will drain. Slow speed low battery drain.
                  So now you can decide this phone is good for you or not. But for me it is best, even coming years I don't think any phone will beat this phone. When I bought it was Indian Rupees 23000/- but after releasing belle prices gone down and now you can buy it in Indian Rupees 17000/- only. Please make sure never ever try to upgrade to belle or delight belle. Anna 025.007 is a good software for this phone. If you will upgrade to belle, you will loose so many features from this phone. As per battery is concerns whenever my battery will dead I will buy 3000 mAH battery for this phone.

                    Andy, 05 Apr 2012@ Rolli, Why it is not possible NTFS file system in symbia... moreI think so too, belle is crap, i prefered anna, although i hated the fact that nokia merged "artists and albums" into one category when using the music player. they tried to fix it with belle but they completely removed the "artist" category which was another huge mistake...nokia get it right...after all the music player was perfect going all the way back to phones like the e65 and n95

                              the battery is so bad and the mobile has many problems in charging although its system is v good and camera is the best thing

                                  Does N8 have battery issues??...I want to buy N8 but I heard its battery does not last for even one day with normal usage (like playing some songs,games, web browsing etc.).

                                        You are talking like you don't like NTFS and 1080p and satisfied whatever you have. My dear friend you are not reading gsmarena news and even this forum. Carla will never come for n8. This is the news by nokia on gsmarena on 31 march,2012. I had posted that here on this forum. So pls update yourself first.
