N8's camera is best camera till date.....second best camera was n86 8mp, n these r the fact....n8/c7 can play mp4,avi,flv,wmv upto 720p.....ya wifi hotspot is not there bt i used wifi several times without any problem.....680 mhz of n8 is better than 1gh of xperia in practical life....ya sgs2 is ofcoz better than n8 in terms of processor...so try to accept the things,which r true

Go and actually use a nokia n8 then compare for REAL.

True definition of smartphone to date = Nokia N8

YO, Sony fanboy. Before you post, polish your English first. What you had posted is a clear example of an illiterate. Illiterate in the sense that you don't have a clear understanding of what you are trying to convey. Your post seems to me like a refuge of the uninitiated and the envious.

I own N8 with symbian belle OS. And this OS is so much better than your android. First and foremost, andoid OS uses a lot of system resources that is why android phones have low battery life. I leave the rest of the cons (and the pros, of course) to the more intelligent readers.

hi I was a nokia lover untill the android released.. my frnd baught this phone 1 month ago.. also I have androide phone, its xperia pro.. so both are in same price.. if I give a rating I give 20 for n8 and 70 for xperia..

here im sharing u the differane btw these two..

xperia have a slide key pad.. but n8 is full touch

xperia have 8 mp camera.. but. nokia have 12 mp
when I test the camera perfomance.. xperia gives me better clarity.. u can also test by gsmarena's comparison

xperia have 512mb ram.. N8 have 256 mb
xperia have 1000mhz processor n8 have 680 mhz

xperia can play videos directly downloaded from internet even it is any format or any size..
n8 can only play videos up to 100mb otherwise it gets .hung and stucked also only some formats supported.. otherwise we have to convert it on pc before play the movie. flv and avi movies are practically not supported by n8
it will try to play the file but get hanged itself.. no use..

xperia have wifi hotspot but n8 dont have.

xperia can make video call on skype to even pc or mobile.
n8 or other nokia wont support skype vdo call ..
n8 can make vdpo call on fring only.. to mobile only

xperia supports lacks of apps in android market..
n8 supports useless apps in nokia's store..

n8 can't set alarm in offline mode, but xperia can do.

n8 have more battery backup than xperia..

while we use internet on nokia , it wont connect.. we have to restart phone , if we browse without wifi.. but andoid will works well this

After updating to Belle, before you download any application from Nokia store, check its compatibility with Belle by reading down the developer's brief overview. This precaution wil keep your Belle N8 bug-free & smooth-running like mine!!! Avoid untrusted third party apps totally!!!

But I heard a lot of complaints about Belle so I was just wondering of the performance of Anna. If I purchase an N8 it will come vith Symbian3. So... Anna or Belle. But now I know YOUR opinion hehe! thx

Dear Friends.... I am using this phone for the last couple of days. An excellent phone. Camera is simply awesome. Better UI. Battery exhausts in 3G use, power saver option gives a bit relief.

On the adding or removing screens, tap the three bars in the lower left on any of your home screens. It will give you the option to add or delete. On the default main screen with the clock you can't delete that one by the way. Belle defaults to four I believe and goes up to six.
As far as the battery monitor app, when you open it the first screen shows you your current battery percent of charge to the right, and a list of "typical uses" for the phone and the estimated time you'd have for each of those uses. For example the first one is "Average Use" gives you overall followed by "Call(3G)" and the estimated time you could use for phone.
The next tab at the top middle (right of estimates) is "statistics". This shows you your actual usage and your "top energy consumers". By default is shows today, but you can choose "daily" or "past week". On the bottom of this screen is shows you "background" usage which will include your data connections, mail autosync, and widgets as one lump.
The last tab at the top is "power save" and gives you options to manage more settings like "Display Brightness" and "Display light timeout" There is a "Power Saving Mode" On/Off at the top that puts your phone in 2G (GSM) mode only and automatically reduces your display brightness too.

BUT BUT....the flv player is gone...The .flv files can't be played anymore. What a bad luck with this belle update. Now i feel, I shouldn'd have hurried up for the new features. The Belle update killed my N8's best thing, i.e. the FLASH PLAYER... :(

However, its more complicated than I thought. I'm not sure of what I'm looking at. I tried reading the instructions but still no understanding of what I'm looking at on the 3 screens. (Maybe too dumb to get it...lol)

Under Estimates we have Average Usage and then a list of applications , majority of which are not in use.

In short can you break down to me how this thing is supposed to work?

Also for all Anna users who don't want to update to belle before the bugs are fixed you can still enjoy the belle through this app ..

i have updated my n8 with belle and using very nicely ,all the applications are running very smoothly and more speedy , actually am more concerned about the browser its very cool and fast more when compared to android os

Although named as date but not similar. Newly structure is 2012-02-09-001.jpg for example. But in Anna was 26052011622 for example.

All those files stored in E:\DCIM\100NOKIA\

Has anyone also experiencing the same?
