Those two files are a result of conflicting Conversations software and can safely be removed. There will not be any impact on the rest of the phone other than actually giving you the ability of split screen typing in conversations.
There is a scenario for those files to come back and that is if you uninstall MS Communicator, Quick Office and Adobe reader then re-install them at a later date. You will then need to remove those two files again.

During Anna installation, both portions have been succesfully installed. Other fratures for Anna update are available only split screen is excluded. Even another of my N8 which is first batch also facing same issue.
Before i try your proposal for uninstalling those 2 files, maybe better for me to understand few things.
1. Are those files system files?
2. What is the function for each file in Symbian Anna?
3. What are potential impact if those files removed from system?
4. Can those files recall back once uninstalling if other problem occurs?
As addition, I red lots of people claiming that their version can be upgraded to 025.xxx. Mine still cannot update once update via ovisuite and ota via phone. Or this is unofficial custom rom. If yes where I can get it.

At the top of the screen, next to the battery icon will be a small symbol that resembles a radio tower with a small padlock next to it. This shows an active Wi-Fi network connection. If the symbol isn't present then you are not connected to a Wi-Fi network.
For a 3G connection, you will see two arrows pointing in opposite directions, one above the other next to your signal meter on the top left of the screen. Again, if that symbol isn't present then you are not connected to your 3G network.

It's available for the Middle East, Thailand, the Netherlands and Turkey.

Anonymous, 21 Oct 2011After a couple of bad experiences with using an N8, now my ... morewow, the purple was gone wit SW upgrade, thats good news. I hate N8 anyway but i really want a N9 (waiting for the 64gb version to be on stock again, sold out evrywer).
anyway, the N9 has a pink tint on full brightness, its not bad compared to the everlasting strong blue tint on SGS and SGS2 but its still a big deal for me... Hopefully N9 update can ix it then, i guess ill take the chance and buy one then. Im aware it cant match HTC and sony SLCD displays in color reproduction but hopefully close enough

After a couple of bad experiences with using an N8, now my N8 was upgraded to 024.001 version, at least it was improved and the screen was now pure black unlike b4 it has purple deficiency. thanks nokia

this phone (n8) is great.. just bought this last oct.17. upgrade it already to symbian ana 025.007 and it works properly and much better. this phone is awesome. battery life is so good. very responsive touchscreen. user friendly. thumbs up!

I discovered a crack in my earphone port, have been using apple earphones, i guess we should stick to nokia earpieces.

Did you install the further two updates called Applications 1/2 and 2/2?
Also, once they have been installed goto Settings > Application manager > Installed apps then uninstall Conversations and Conversations server. You may need to reboot the phone.

just updated my nokia n8 to version 25.007 for product code 0599221......changes noticed... the qwerty portrait mode upgraded.....smoother scrolling....still luving the n8 though.....patiently awainting belle

dear ray,
my n8 still not display split screen even after anna update. but once i install universal search from betalabs, this application sometimes works in split screen sometime it's not.
for your info my set product code is 059DIF9. my software version is 022.014.262.03
please advice if you have solutions. others are also welcome to post yours....
