I have a N8 phone. My wife and i go to concerts and sometimes record parts of the concert. the video is great but the sound is very bad. Is there something that i need to adjust to make the audio better? I think it should have clear audio just like the good video.

Nokia n8 with Belle is still better than 701...in features...hdmi, better camera, better storage....16gb...though with only 256mb of ram...i have never goten any out of memory alerts..plus despite having only 680mhz processor I don't see any difference in performance with my 1ghz Samsung wave s8500...the only thing missing is nfc...i can't stand fixed focus cameras...

Guys ! According to your opinion which one is better ( Overall best features enable phone ) : Option 1. Nokia N8 with Belle OS or Option 2. Nokia 701. Pls give your own personal views dudes. I m waiting for your reply guys..

this phone is awesome, just upgrade to symbian anna and everything will be rocks! :)
the camera is great, music player is good, the graphic so awesome! :)
try it first, upgrade to anna, then feel the different :)

My n8's default headset controller are not functioning. I can't rewind, stop/play and forward my music while listening. When i used it on my n95 8gb it functions. What maybe the problem? Another problem is that it can't recognize other headset aside from nokia headset while my n95 8gb can recognized any headset even if it is not a nokia headset.

AVI & MKV are NOT video formats. They are CONTAINERS for video and audio streams.
So, you need to make sure of what video format is actually inside your MKV or AVI. To do this, download Mediainfo from:
http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en
For future reference your video format needs to meet the following criteria:

To restore the phone to factory settings input *#7370# into the phones dialer. The default pin code is 12345.
WARNING. This will erase EVERYTHING on the phone so make sure you back up all your media files and anything else important to you. Don't bother with backing up system settings though, as restoring those later on will also restore the original problem you may be having.

The only way to locate your phone is if you had installed Phonelocator Periodic from Ovi store.

If you haven't then your only option is to contact your network and get them to disable the phone. You will need to quote the IMEI number when doing this.
In the meantime, you can remotely lock the phone if you activated that feature in Settings > Phone > Phone management > Security settings > Phone and SIM card.

No my friend, it's only a rumor. If it was true it wouldn't necessarily mean you would be able to update your phone on that date. You would still need to wait for the Firmware to be approved which can take anything up to a couple of months, depending on region and carrier (if any).
