i love all the function of this phone. but i have 1 doubt, is there anyone who can clear it.
i want to know can we do video chat through yahoo messenger and skype through GPRS.
PLS TELL HONESTLY.

i am using a N8 from last 2 days.now i saw a upgradable version ana symbian.so, how can i upgrade this version in my NOKIA N8???????????

Anonymous, 01 Oct 2011I have been using my N8 since March. And it's defiantly a g... morei found a great solution to the browser, and it's opera mini. It asks for a page, at the opera whatever that finds it, sends it loaded to your phone, and it doesn' have to reload when you go forth and back,the pages stay there in your phone, and when you want to watch a video, it just opens nokia' browser which since it does only that, plays it really well. Really quick and easy. take care

I don't know why some of the trolls keep on screaming about not being able to watch youtube videos in the browser. I myself did that and I can guaranty that it works smooth. And if you want the other way around, then go to www.google.com/mobile/youtube & download the youtube viewer. Believe me, after watching through it, you'll never want to watch through your browser anymore. I actually love it. It is fast in searching, loads amazingly fast & runs the video smooth. So, stop screaming about bumpy roads when you have other smooth roads open in front of you. Now, most of Samsung users will start screaming about using third party software, saying they don't use any. But hey, the OS (Android) itself is a third party software (Samsung didn't make it, and learn the definition of third party software somewhere before you put any objection). All the softwares installed in Samsung, most of them are third party software, except for a few, like UI itself. So, if you don't like my truths, just leave the page and let us be happy without you.

I had this dream of all the N8 users use this line after every comment they put anywhere. Second, why did you install hacked Belle? It will stop you from installing real Belle & Anna. I wanted to install, but then I read this blog where some of N8 users installed it, then they couldn't go back to Symbian^3 or Anna (PR1.1/PR1.2/PR2.0). So best of luck with hacked one. I'm waiting for the real Belle update. Take care.

And it's defiantly a g... moreYou are a liar..n8 is not at all laggy...it takes 1-2 secs to load gsmarena's page on my n8..Symbian Anna is decent enough, and belle is on the way...and android is just eye-candy..I had an HTC Dream which I sold later because android OS totally disappointed me. Android is nothing compared to Symbian OS and n8 is a complete smartphone, at least for me.

Dear guys i've been using Belle(hacked version) on my n8 since last 22days, and it is running buttery smooth on my N8.. i've had my n8 since oct 2010. So it has been a full year with me and u know what?? I'm loving it more and more now. Currently there is no mobile in the market which can beat N8 with Belle.. And this was releasd a year back, but still none can beat N8 in featutes and functionality... Cheers..

I have been using my N8 since March. And it's defiantly a good phone. BUT, it would've been even tonnes better if was operated by Android and had at least 500MB of RAM. Web browsing on it is a HUGE pain, even with Anna on installed it just doesn't have enough juice under the skin. Websites such as GSMarena takes ages to load compared to my iPhone 4 and when it's done loading pages it's the scrolling that kills me; LAGGY as hell. Occasionally, the phone completely gives up and shuts the browser down. Wacting videos on Youtube is a complete shambles and is the result of its tiny processor; seeking videos back and forth is virtually impossible.
There are a few things to counter these cons: HDMI output, USB-on-the-go and an awesome camera. But to be honest, these are only multimedia features and things like OS and processors are supposed to be top priority.
If i were to give my N8 a facelift, I would've let it be operated by Android and had at least 500MB of RAM and a full 1GHz as the CPU.

today n.care people changed my n8's screen ! Itz better than b4 but purple tint is still there in small quantity !
