Hey guys... I'm gonna tell you an important secret about Nokia N8 that Nokia won't eve mation...
I have contact with official Nokia employees and many other smartphone experts and we test many phones.
On N8 we discovered that after using for 2 or 3 months the battery gets 10 to 25% weaker for no reason... (We used couple N8 phones with normal usage and charged them from low to maximum all the times, so means we took care of the batteries) but the good news is that it won't get worse.... It will remain like that. we have done multiple tests and I'm sure we are 100% accurate...
It's not a big deal but it happens trust me...

my n8 battery drain very fast, i up dated it but the problem didn't solve.nokia was good and it became rabish by introducing n8.

Can I ask where you are getting your new ... moreI contacted Amazon through chat and through phone and they told me that it should be coming with Symbian Anna, I should be collected phone from relative who lives in the USA that i shipped it to, they will be coming my side in two or three days to drop off phone.
Will let you know, not sure if Amazon person just told me that to purchase phone or not, time will tell.

my n8s manufacturing date is 21st august, its stamped on the nokia n8's box inside.. i thinks its of the new batch. dont hav Anna inside but its good.. no automatic restarts or hangs. the touchscreen works good and so does everything els its got no purple tint. camera is the best. il just update to Anna in this month when it releases. im happy with my n8, games, music and all the apps run smooth. it looks good to. guys get this phone.

The N8 does not have the ability for full Flash 10.x support. It does have flash lite 4 installed which means it can handle some video sharing web sites such as youtube.
There is a separate youtube app available from Google. Just point your phones browser to m.google.com and look for the youtube app.

Can I ask where you are getting your new N8 from with Anna pre-installed? The reason I ask is that there are several threads over on the official Nokia support website that say there are no N8's for sale with Anna pre-loaded, even though Nokia did officially state they would start shipping by the end of July.
I'm just wondering that if the store you are getting your N8 from is telling the truth or not.
Let's hope it does have Anna pre-installed as that would mean the update will be ready for existing handsets for download by the end of August as promised by Nokia.

Yes, Dolby Digital does work via the HDMI output and Big Screen. However, the song or video you want to play needs to have been encoded with Dolby audio stream, also known as AC3 audio.

When you open the camera app you will notice three icons running down the right hand side of the screen. The second one down is the flash control. Tap that and you will be given four options. Automatic, Red-eye reduction, On and finally Off.
Tap on the ON option to turn the flash on, or automatic to let the phone decide when the flash is needed.
If non of that works, it might be because you haven't removed the plastic film covering the lens.
Finally there may be a hardware problem, so you will have to take it back to the shop or send it to a Nokia Care Point.

You say Samsung make the best touchscreen and that the N8's touch screen isn't any good. That's a hard one to understand as the touchscreen on the N8 is made by SAMSUNG!
I can confirm that the touchscreen of the N8 and the Galaxy S are identical in responsiveness, clarity and brightness. The only difference is in the size and resolution of both screens.
Trolls tend not to have much intelligence it would seem.

I am trying to connect to the wifi in Hotel in Dubai and whilst being unable to do so receive a pop-up when attempting to go onto the web browser Internet : "Connection Time Out". what setting should i change or look at. Thanks
