I'm afraid this is the worst phone nokia has come up with! I have already sent my phone back for repairs twice, 2 days after the 1st repair. The phone switches itself off and won't switch back on and when it eventually does it's on for about 20 minutes and then switches itself off again. Absolutely useless phone!!!!

[deleted post]Samsung is good in manufacturing raw hardware components. But they suck big time in conceptualizing, designing, assembling a phone into finished product. Look at the Galaxy S series. The design is only copied from Apple, interface again from Apple, and the OS is borrowed from Google. Samsung is not an innovator unlike Nokia and Apple. I said they are only good in raw hardware production. Everything else is copied from other companies.

I have been using N8 for the last 2 months. I haven't had such a nice phone never ever before in my life. I suggest everybody to buy it without any fear. its camera result spectacular...every function is amazing.

I have the N8 and the wave, I have practical experience of the two phones and will pick the N8 anytime. the wave hangs at will with its 1.gh processor, its browser is crap and it wont instal browsers from any other third party, I was able to copy contacts via bluetooth and sent to samsung wave from a nokia phone but it aint posible to do the same from samsung to a diferent maker, the photos are sensational viewed on the super amoled and crap when viewed with windows photo viewer, and yes, N8 can play HD movies.I love my samsung wave of course but it has limits to what it can do as oposed to a regular nokia and for all we care phone makers have been selling software and hardware to competition since long time and nothing to brag about, it makes business sence and when there is competition, products become better and more afordable, so please cut the crap about samsung being better than nokia cause they are not, the most user friendly phones come from Nokia, and thats a hard fact

I got silver N8 and when light is on i can see it through the plastic around the button on the left side under screen is it like that for everyone?
And when i put analog clock and lock my phone then press on/off button clock has purple color is it normal?
And when i watch tron trailer it looks like black color doesn't look good like its everywhere! This happends when i am in my room which dark! Please reply!

... it has excellent sensor and extremely fast shutter speed , autofocus is excellent
Slight shakes distort the image quality, maybe thats ur problem

So it does not matter if the CPU is running at 500 MHz or 2000 MHz, RF energy is being generated by other components in the phone.
RF energy is measured as Specific Absorption Rate ( SAR ) in Watts per Kilogram, which determines how much RF is absorbed by the human body. The given SAR of a particular model of phone is the absolute maximum level it can emit, but in the real world it will most likely never reach that level under normal use.
The safe level determined by the ICNIRP is 2.0 watts/kilogram (W/kg). The N8's SAR level is 1.02 W/Kg ( so well below the 2.0 W/Kg limit ).
The Samsung Galaxy S II ( with it's dual core processor ) has a SAR level of 0.34 W/Kg, which is about a third that of the N8. Anyway, having a higher or lower SAR level has no bearing on the devices saftey as long as it is below the 2.0 W/Kg maximum allowed.
