        To anonymous and aql :

This phone is a mini jukebox. The earphone (WH-701) that came with this handset (N8) rocks in producing bass effects in the earphones (when tested in a silent place) if the song has the same.

I use samsung N7100. Its audio quality and the battery backup time sucks. This made me to use my cutie N8 as my primary phone.

Nokia, common. Please launch Symbian phones again. Give life to the Symbian. Please.

Aadrian, 23 Mar 2014Got my N8 almost one year, still loving it. Camera is so go... moreNokia should not forget this awesome smartphone. It is my only cameraphone. .its size is not too big and not too small. Its sound's quality is also good. Its pictures's quality is very good in comparison with Galaxy S4 or iphone 5, but iphone 5 / 5s picture quality is awesome too (just the price is high).
I still use N8 as my primary phone and Galaxy Note 10.1" is my secondary device. :)

go my n8 for almost 4years, love it to bits. recently bought another phone... after few hours, new phone ended up in box again. what would be nice is if one could get the androids apps thats available for the N8.
regarding durability... it can receive a good punch, well it ended up under cars boot lid, only a scratch. my N8 is my little baby.

Got my N8 almost one year, still loving it. Camera is so good. I bet this phone's camera still beats modern 13MP shooters in other phones from other brands.

How do you add japanese fonts on s40? I would be fine with a fone like that. Using asian variant with chinese support helps but japanese kanji are incomplete.

N8Fan, 15 Mar 2014S40 has came a really long, long way. In my opinion, most o... moreI do have a Samsung Java phone, a 2230. Friend sold it to me for ice cream money, almost new. :-) You're right, a lot of S40 influence, especially the home screen, although the camera interface is from Motorola (I had a few). Bits from here, bits from there. Larger Java apps don't work, but if I compare it to the Nokia 2220 Slide my mother had, it's just a better phone for the same price (has Bluetooth and MicroSD which 2220 doesn't). I have an "almost working" SE K800 and it's very good at running Java, even more at once (multitasking) which is the major thing S40 should have. And brightness control. :-) But with a little patience you can do way more with S40 than some might think possible. Modifying themes? You can open the .nth file after renaming it to .zip. Inside you have a bunch of images you can edit, even create your own, and a descriptive .xml file you can open with WordPad or NotePad. Just takes a little learning, trial and error etc. :-)
Since this is an N8 thread, I'll just mention that my friend has a Galaxy S3 for sale for 1/3 of the price, as good as new, and I was tempted for, hmmm, 3 seconds. Even if I had the cash and bought it I'd be trying to exchange it for another N8 or 808 in a week. (-:

MdN8, 15 Mar 2014S40 has really come a long way, hasn't it? OK it's no smart... moreS40 has came a really long, long way. In my opinion, most of the mobile operating systems are mainly inspired by S40. Take a look at any Samsung java phone, you can clearly feel the UI is a copied version of original S40. Coincidence but I used my N8 to find the Nokia X2-01. I have used many Samsung, Sony Ericsson, LG Java phones and the problem with all of them was that most of the Java applications wouldn't work in them but with S40 operating system, most of the java apps work fine and I came to know it after using Nokia X2-01, my second S40 phone. :) Nokia used to be the best manufacturer of Java phones as no other Java phones could match the level of optimization as Nokia back then and still it's the same. I'm wondering how to modify themes.(:

I have been using n8 since 4 years(2014-2014) still i love my n8. I love its body. It is solid and also style. The screen got some scratchs simply. Color is wearing off. In recent days it is hanging, it stops to respond. But power key do respond. If we hold is for 6 secs it will shut down. Over all its a very nice phone. No other phone can beat its dody design and camera

OK it's no smartphone but my X2-00 has some features my E51 doesn't, USB on-the-go, two speakers, flashlight etc. Good file manager and you can get alternative cool Java apps with zip, rar, Bluetooth ftp etc which makes it more competent than an iPhone in some ways. :-) Cheap phone but so user friendly it brings a smile on your face, just a good normal phone. And the themes are awesome, learned how to make and modify them, got a bunch of them on Zedge. Lucky you, X2-01 has a Qwerty keyboard. Never had a phone with one and I do type a lot. Last year I was without internet for a while and used the X2 for everything to stay in contact with people, with Nokia Xpress Browser or Opera Mini. Actually I bought my N8 after finding it in the classifieds and emailing the guy from my X2. :-)

Opera Mini 8 is available, but only Java version. I don't think there will ever be a .sis version. Still, it's new, new design, it has some new options (night mode, more privacy etc) and it works. So far. :-)
If you want to try it, go to http://m.opera.com/ with your default browser, select "Other download options" and "Opera Mini 8".
                                      I'm still testing it.

It's in new condition, haven't used it very much. N8 is my daily dose now and I hope it stays with me forever. I know electronic devices are fragile and can't last for a lifetime, someday it has to stop working and if my N8 ever stops working, I'd start to use my N95 which has a great camera and great multimedia capabilities. I'd try to grab a Sailfish OS based phone because I had a dream to own the N9 but I couldn't because it wasn't available in my country. Currently I'm saving as much as possible. iOS is out of my reach, Android a big no because of too much fragmentation and a low end Android is laggy, not interested in Firefox OS, Ubuntu isn't even out yet, WP maybe I'd consider if it gets all the lacking features, BB 10 OS no, Sailfish OS looks cool with refreshing UI so I'd try to get one. Have a nice day, sir. (:
