Who cares if the reasearch if official from Nokia or not? The fact still there. You know what's more pathtic? You trolls don't
even have arguments to defend your "ideas", all you guys say is "Nokia sucks", "Symbian is ugly", "Nokia is dead", you know what that means?
You guys hate Nokia so much only because it's still on the top even without good presence on North America, you trolls just can't aceppt that
fact. So let's make it clear: Nokia doesn't care only with North American stupid expectations, Nokia is the biggest brand because they do phones
for all the global market, not for a specific market alone. They still doing phones with resistive screens because it's very convenient for alot
of countries, they do reliable phones because it's conveniente for all market, they do phone with good cameras because it's convenient for alot
of people. Nokia users don't care for extremely powerfull CPUS, hundreds of effects and eye-candy shi*y, they care about functionality and reliability.
They care about support and market experience.
That makes Nokia far better than any other company.
You think I'm wrong? OK then. So what do you expect from a smartphone?
Beutiful OS with inconsistent phones with hundreds of different resolutions, technologies, OS version and hardware, with lead thousands of incompatibles
Apps for your phone? Not to mention that it's a Java emulated system that need a 1Ghz CPU to run without any lagging. (Android)
Or a beutiful and fast OS with stupid limitation like no true mult-tasking, no true video-call, no file manager, no true homescreen or widgets, no mass
storage, not bluetooth file transfer and God know what else?(iPhone)
What's so bad about Nokia phones them? The UI looks? Me and all "Nokia fanboys" rather quality than a useless good-looking OS.

Haha! Nokia's gonna replace the faulty screens.. Atleast it isn't telling people in which angle to look at the screen unlike Apple which was teaching people as to how they should hold phones!!!

Hi all, I wonder if you are able to help. I lost my N8 yesterday, and I know someone picked it up cos the phone was switched off after that. Is there any tech that can trace where it is now so that I can have some hope of getting it back? Thanks, for any help you can give.

[deleted post]I share your sentiments. I, too, am extremely disappointed with my N8 and Nokia in general. I've been a Nokia lover for 10 years already. Now, I'm a Nokia hater. Before, I used to defend Nokia in every forum. Now, I'll join those haters who want to attack it. But I won't be a troll. I'll be reasonable with my criticisms.

Mk, 11 Mar 2011Worlds most popular phoneN8 is the phone that most people love to talk about but only few are interested in buying. The irony is the iPhone 4 sells 4x more units even if it is twice the price of the N8.

Nokia n8/c7 from december 2010 were produced with faulty displays. Nokia publish internal service bulletin. Complete replace of screens

Using the Nokia N8 I have come across the following conclusion:

                              Postive:

                              Value for money
Easy to use than the iphone and really awesome with its software as it’s a Nokia.
Familiar apps. As its Nokia and was using a Nokia phone earlier.

                              Negective:

The touch is damn bad as compared to an iphone.

Conclusion: If the main purpose of using the phone is to access internet or access your mails, And you want to type as fast as your using a keyboard, The touch in this phone really sucks so would advise avoid using it. Keypad wise and for touch nothing as good as an iphone :P

[deleted post]@ gitty hey purplish red is 100% screen problem the only solution is that nokia should replace the screen of every user that is facing any problem with this issue as its under warranty but nokia this time showed their carelessness and ignoring attitude towards n8 and users facing problem....
