hello friends, since many months, i am facing issues while logging in skype. Till i insert my username & password, it is ok, but just as i click log in, it haults for sometime & returns to menu. Plz give me any solution for this.

Though, I'm trying to find something where I can enter my city manually and refresh it on demand, without the need for constant connection or GPS data.
The stupid thing about Weather is that, use it or not, it starts when you boot your phone. I use App Stop to close it, and save a little battery life.
Off-topic... My friend has an iPhone 4S and a few months ago he was trying to impress me with iOS7. Not too bad. Yesterday I met him and his screen is cracked - and he just dropped it on the floor. That's not too impressive. :-s

I did a little research and it seems that this happens if the FM transmitter isn't allowed (legal) in some countries and you updated the firmware to a version for one of those countries. You can try to re-install the software via Nokia Suite, but if that doesn't help I suppose you'd have to get a software for another region, or maybe a custom firmware such as Delight...
I found this on Nokia Support Discussions:
"The usual explanation for this is that your phone is a grey import originaly destined for a market where the FM transmitter is banned,
The dealers who import these phones usually flash them with the local firmware varient which enables the fm transmitter functionality, but when the user updates the phone reverts to it's 'native' regional firmware and the transmitter stops working
If this is the case the only solution is to take the phone to a nokia care point and ask them nicely to reflash with the generic firmware and pay to have this done"

I kinda liked the stock app, so I will look for something similar I think. I downloaded one app, but it can only refresh the weather forecast one time, then I have to start my phone again in order to refresh it for the second time, and so on. Not very nice lol.

No updates since a week... moreI just bookmarked the yr.no (it's a Norwegian weather forecast site with hourly forecasts, just google it) mobile page for my city in Opera Mini, so I just check the forecast here and there. I don't really need it visible all the time. I tried only QooWeather, it was quite well made, for example it had a "wifi only" option and several widget styles, customizable with backgrounds and transparency, but one or more Qoo-apps was messing up my task manager (last opened app wouldn't close) so I uninstalled most of them and just kept QooSystem and QooCalendar, both older versions before they became integrated with each other and everything else. :-) I wish someone made an app for yr.no but that's not very likely to happen.

This is the no.1 mobile in the world,it's battery backup in 2g or 3g network is owsome,camara quality,operating system,signal strength & on the go usb features are very very very excellent than presents android or windows mobile,and no one any problem in my nokia n8 last 2.5 years.so i give 10/10 point to this phone.

If your Nokia Weather stopped updating - it's officially discontinued. I wasn't using it, I just go to yr.no to check the forecast, but anyway, I know some people did. Thanks for nothing, Nokia.

Gin, 17 Dec 2013Can anyone tell me the process to format my Nokia N8 from s... morehi.. If you facing many problems as u told then its better to re-install the phone software and if this doesnt work then u can try to install custom firmware.
I have installed xeon s4 cfw and this works great. It includes many add-on features and good stability.
Im enjoying it.
You can search youtube for help and instructions.

If there's no Belle Refresh update available for your specific phone you might also considering installing custom firmware such as Delight.

Can anyone tell me the process to format my Nokia N8 from scratch. Phone out of warranty and not going to pay service provider for just a software update. Phone giving issues with signal. Constantly missing calls. Urgent help needed
