watch how tough, how heavy duty Nokia N8 is. So why choose other brand? Its only all about android UI but hardware wise it wont last, but Nokia will not frustrate you, it is a phone that will stay on you for life. UI is not what a phone is all about, but how it serves you in everyday use. Think wisely, spend money wisely.

For an N8 in the USA. Where can one find the 1.1 update? When I try updating with OVI it tells me that there are no firmware updates, just the game updates.

If so, your going to have to wait longer than any one else.
That's if 3 UK decide to approve the update at all, in which case you may not get the update.
Sorry, but 3 UK are pretty useless when it comes to software and firmware updates for mobile phones.

Me? Nokia only no other phone!!! Nokia is the best heavy duty cellphone in the world. Antenna reception so superb! Calling like you are talking face to face to your love ones even though they are miles away from you. Very very clear earpiece sound & reception. That is the Nokia logo holding hands and it is reality, Nokia really connects people all over the world.

Symbian 3 home screen looks like S60V5 but REALLY different!!! S60v5 is long way behind compared to Symbian 3. Forget your N97 it is so different to N8. So don’t hesitate to buy N8, most of the defamation about the N8 is not true like slow, freezing, unstable, UI not good?!?! What you will do with a graphical phone if it keeps on hanging, & you were unable to freely download, receive, send, exchange etc. multimedia via Bluetooth. Every single thing it keeps on asking about the payments. But Nokia & Ovi lots of lots of FREE applications, games, software, to download & share to others. They just were commenting it because they are not expecting the best mobile computer with all the needed features in a cheaper price, and that is no other than SMARTPHONE NOKIA N8!!! They cannot accept that Nokia is still the best no one can beat it!!! Viva Nokia! Viva!!! Keep on improving!!! You have all our supports!

Before Nokia is the best phone in the world which most of us are proud of it? Nokia didn’t put as down, we used to be boastful to our friends because we are using the best phone that is Nokia, but now simple not updated UI we make it so exaggerated, like Nokia is the worst phone ever!!! Nokia is not sleeping in one corner, they keep on improving for the happiness of their loyal customers, and we don’t need to drop down Nokia, for Nokia made us happy for long period of time. Just wait Nokia will do action for us! Nokia will still own the crown!!! N8 is even better than iPhone 4, or let say (granting without accepting) second to Samsung Galaxy S, if SGS loyalists cannot accept to be the second best phone! But for me I am happy with the N8, it is not too big, it is not slow as the opponents comments, you have digital camera & phone in one pocket, a lot of applications, games & software to install, USB on the go which is not present on the other phones, spare parts & accessories everywhere all over the world, long lasting heavy duty battery, loud speaker, bright AMOLED capacitive touch friendly screen with swype, dual charging slot you can use your old Nokia micro charger or a USB charger, and a lot lot more features which are not present in other cellphones.

Nokia N8 the most controversial mobile computer in the world!!! Why because it has the features that can beat Samsung Galaxy S, Apple iPhone 4, & other android operated cellphones (or machines I should say because they don’t have their own trademarks, they just borrowing popularity from android)!!!

I bought my N8 last Feb 5, I really love it, Symbian 3 becomes more friendly & enjoyable to use, it is not boring, u can do a lot of thing, that’s what their saying “What you will do with it!” It is up to the user to explore the endless possibilities. People whom keep on saying Symbian & Nokia were dead already are the people whom are frustrated because they bought android operated cellphones not expecting Nokia will make a big improvements, & they don’t want Nokia to win again in the market, which is what happening now in the market. The more we talk about N8 the more we make N8 popular in the market. Other cellphones are good only in graphics but remove the graphics you will never put in your mind to buy such kind of cellphones. But Nokia even though the UI is not that good compared to android (but not bad at all) but still there’s an impact in the mind of the purchasers to think twice & think very wise if you really will forget or not to forget it because it’s been a long time since Nokia is producing the best phone in the world. Peoples are keeping on saying if only Nokia is operated with android, they will not think twice to buy Nokia again. The rivalry is not yet end!!! Wait and you will see Nokia on top again!

The new firmware 1.1 has almost none performance improvements, it's the same slow and unresponsive camera that makes calls :(

it stinks display color is very bluish compared to other amoled display n processor is just 680mhz... touch sensitivity is not good compared to xperia x10

is it SAFE to buy nokia n8 in indian market?
because after reading the issues regarding boot fail, purple screen, short bettery life im little scared to invest my Rs23500 in such problematic phone.. Is buying N8 still as good as buying a lottery ticket, that if u get working phone u r lucky?? Or the new January manufactured phones are free from power issues but still have purple screen effect which can solved by firmware update??

Have this phone.
Horrible Device. Tired of having great hardware mixed with disgustingly bad software.
Symbian is full of morons that just never learns. One would think after 30 years that would understand the market and move with the turn of the tide. But no.
I'm done Nokia. Peace out.
