LCD sucks! try the midnight silver themes, and create new msg.. everytime you type, u can see that the backlight flicks a bit.. but overall performance, its good.. just the LCD

If you mean, will any of your apps be deleted by the the update, then no. Your apps will stay as they are.
However, it won't hurt to perform a backup of your phone before you update just in case. ( There is always a TINY chance of something going wrong during any update process ).

I can see that update is avaiable for my n8... more @Uniwega.
The method I used to download the update was to use Nokia Software Updater, available from http://europe.nokia.com/support/download-software/device-software-update
On the right hand side under the Whats New section is the download link.
I can report that I haven't experienced any problems since updating and none of my applications are missing since the update. However, some people have reported a problem with BBC iPlayer not being able to obtain licenses for downloaded programs. Don't know about that myself as I've never been able to get iPlayer to work anyway.

Its a good, but i've sent mine back to Nokia, due to the fact that it wasn't responding from headset's controls, otherwise its a nice piece of handset.

I can see that update is avaiable for my n8 today, will download it once I'll be back from work.
Whats the best option to install it? Ovi suite is not working (I have latest version). OTA will be fine, as I heard that its not good or smth. Olso, what I expect, will I loose something, some programs, as some users reporting problems after update.

i don't care what nokia will do, i got my n8 last january and so far i like it a lot no matter what other people are talking about symbian being dead by 2012...by that time i'll get a new phone...i dont understand what are they worrying about n8 being dead by 2012 or symbian...are they gona keep their n8 forever...hehehehehe...move on to whats new...upgrade...for now i cant find an android that fits me and i see iphone as a fad...and i got a windows 6.5 last december it doesnt fit me either...

AnonD-1688, 15 Feb 2011I request u all plz tell me that is it best or not I am goi... moreYes N8 is the best im using this almost 2 months, but before nokia bigboombed announcement last feb 11, 2011 im so disappointed, nokia do wp7 is primary OS..Friend i suggest you go for android... because no symbian support year2012.. its useless to buy Symbian now with no support by year2012.... its so sad for me... but wp7? i will not support that, wp7 is not friendly user all program always corrupted file and all important file is always corrupted and delete you need to flash and flash your phone to back to normal...

Nw they r gna have them, and all of a sudden they are gna become MUST HAVE features. Fanboys are sickening
