brianxx9xx, 11 Nov 2013can we install codec to N8 so we can play other formats?Sorry, but there is no known developer to do this for symbian. So what n8 can decode is all you can have. I don't know if there is a player that brings other codecs, but i doubt it. I would have heard of that player:D

You will find some info about the app there and if you scroll down right after compatibility you can see two download links for patches. Download the right one for your phone. Ghat's about it. Enjoy.

Hey guys, i want a call recording app which does not have a beep sound in it. Which one Shall i download ?? As i tried most of it But stil the beep sound is heard to me as well as to the other party. Plz help.

Left button (short/long): task manager/App Stop
Right: battery level/Close All Apps
Swipe left: menu
Swipe right: task manager
Swipe up left: QuickRotate (I don't need auto rotation except sometimes in Gallery or when typing)
Swipe up right: music volume
I just added the "grey" status pane button (on menu only) with vLight/brightness but I'll have to see if it bothers me in normal use as I can't drag the notification bar from that part. Maybe he should add some "torch" like jBak Taskman had, just white screen at 100% brightnes and no gimmicks. And a LED torch for phones that have one. But even like this, Belle Extra Buttons replaces 20 other apps.:-D

N8 dosn't support Live wallpaper,small screen, pathentic keyword, dull OS,little bit of sound,no video tone,this toy phone also get hange due to low ram, wrost profermenc, many times also call get disconnect by touching of ear, limited application,pathentic OVI Store,video player get stop after playing one song, galary not working properly when haveing more then 500 picture,poor responce in multitasking,no video light, flash player not working with any 3rd party browser,lagging on zooming when record HD video..SAR VALUE is SAR US 1.09 W/kg (head) 0.85 W/kg (body)
SAR EU 1.02 W/kg (head)....its very dengerious for health even i don't know why people are using this type of harmfull devices....

I havn't find any single resone to buy this handset..never buy this phone this is tolally wrost of money..and who is alredy purchesed this toy phone then try to swap any other handset... Health is wealth...now choice is yours.....

MdN8, 09 Nov 2013The new update is AWESOME. This is one of the best apps for... more:). That was my ideea. And i'm serious about it:D. I asked him to do it and to ad the menu-idle, idle-menu functions cause i wanted some kind of swipe in all my apps. So now i have: toolbar buttons 1: music now playing. 2: closeallapps. Swipe up corner left : expandable window a, corner right: expandeble window b. Swipe from left to right: task manager. Swipe from right to left:idle/menu. Like this i got reed of one app opened in background: GoToMenu. Which was good but belle extra buttons is more easy to use and more responsive. Since i turned off that app (for ever) i got some speed gain (at least, it feels like i got it:). So i owe this guy allot for this swipe gestures. He just made my wish take life.:D. Anyway, is nice to see people supporting him. If you got realistic ideas, talk to him. If he can do it, it will be done. The last update is the proof:D.

Aadrian, 09 Nov 2013My black N8 is in perfect condition, I am so afraid it will... moreyeah, mine has taken one pretty good hit. After that i bought a so called superior hard cover which didn't do such a great job. The front of my phone now looks better then the back (am talking about the plastic caps from up and buttom of the phone) the back got scratched cause of this ”extraordinary” hardcover. I wanted to replace the two caps, but now i hope in a sooner aquistion of the 808:D... Anyway, nice to have it like new. Is just a beautyful device.

I was just wondering why he can't add swiping upwards like there are swipes downwards on the notification bar buttons - and he just did it. And now there's the music control too! My phone is in a case so it's harder to get the volume buttons, I was using SlideMeLoud before, now I just swipe up from the Options button and there it is. And if you tap on the icon it also opens the music player. Simple and genius. Still haven't decided about the left button, right now I use it to turn auto-rotation on and off. And I need to think of something for "swipe while covering proximity sensor" too. :-)

The world's internet traffic went down by 40%. Imagine that (and you can Google it and read more). They can do whatever they want now, in the new version of Google Maps you have to look at an advertisement after you do a search. So I imagine Android in 2015: you make a call, and when you finish a voice says "We are sorry your mother is ill, but we recommend buying some fresh fruit from LIDL for her. If you don't want to order fruit please solve this CAPTCHA in 5 seconds." :-)))
I'm using my operator's email and Gmail just for large files, but still my friends use Gmail for regular talk so you can't escape from it. Then, if you encrypt your email they just keep it until they have the technology to decrypt it. I don't know... A friend was showing me his iPhone 4S with iOS 7 and there's not much Google in it, it's getting better (except iTunes but he has a Mac) but the navigation isn't offline like on Nokia, and you have to tap and tap and tap just to turn something on or off because it doesn't support widgets. N8 doesn't have too many widgets available but still it beats iOS in that. And when you type a message no matter if you type small or big letters they are always CAPS on the keyboard. I guess lower case would cause a lag? Haha.
Now there's the news that, if Elop becomes the new CEO of Microsoft, he might sell Xbox and kill Bing. Fun times ahead.
