To Glennuth, I too have been getting the "memory full" message quite often; or lets say more often than I care to have it. I will try what "Mac" advised you to see if it cures the problem.
Let us know if you try his method and the results, I will do the same after I try it.

Glennuth, 24 Jan 2011Hi, is anyone else getting the "Memory full: Close som... moreDo me a favour please. Download netqin M.Gaurd for your phone and install it. I suspect that you may either have lots of junk hidden as spam, too many auto start-up apps and finally too many apps running in the background. Use the software. After installing. Run the software by firstly doing a os scan. It will scan and then tell you what is wrong. Click on each problem listed and follow instructions. Click also on the clean spam icon. Then click on the memory cleaning icon. A list would pop-up with all the running apps that you cannot normally see. Close all apps running except metadata. If you close that, your phone wont run properly! Dont stress if you do however accidentally close it. Its just that it is one of the auto start-up apps that i dont know how to restart! The only way to get it back is by restarting the phone. The phone wont break if you do close it. Closing the messages, clock, log etc doesnt mean that it switches them off completely. They still work but they are'nt minimised like they were before. You'd still receive sms's etc as normal but your ram and phone speed drastically improves. Try it and let me know. If that fails...then onto plan B...when i work it out!!

I was so scared of getting this phone because I was reading negative after negative after negative reviews. I finally got this (N8) this past Saturday and so far... I am impressed... I am more impressed with the HD GAMES!!!! Just amazing... the battery is awesome too... it last me all day! Unlike Android which I had to recharge every 5 hrs. I will hold on to this phone even when the N9 comes out. This can be used even as a PMP, just for the Camera, Music, and games!!!

I just bought the Nokia N8 U.S edition and I will tell you... this thing is a BEAUTY!
It is running on T-Mobiles 3g perfect! Design is amazing.
Pics are awesome and the games are outstanding (it looks like a psp)
I don't know why this device got rated low by Engadget.com It took me months to decide what I wanted, I picked up an Android phone (Nexus S) and it was a horrible experience... never will be going to Android again! I love everything about this phone except the Internet Browser. But then again... i used my internet at home, so I really don't care much about the brower. The GPS is awesome... right on point and FREE NAVIGATION for life! I LOVE YOU, NOKIA!
Don't believe the B.S you read here... it's a nice phone... I been playing with it since I got it and can't put it down... the battery is amazing as well. I can play games, listen to music, emails all day without worrying about charging it til' night time. IDK what the hell these guys (GSMARENA) are talking about... battery is outstanding.
NOKIA N8 on T-Mobile's 3G= PRICELESS!!!!

Dipto, 24 Jan 2011then its a hacked firmware... coz none have faced this prob... morewell maybe mines broke then, which is why i was posting on here in the first place. to see if anyone else had this problem, my N86 never had this problem or any problems for that fact and neither did this until 3weeks ago, now its doing it all the time even after using ovi suite to reload the software.

Hi everyone.. I have been using this phone since last 3 months and I must say this is currently the best handset available in the market. It's camera quality is superb.. I've installed mod ver 4.00 and camera picture quality has become even better than before.. Swype text input is amazing.. Currently I'm writing this review on my n8 using swype method.. It's a must have application for n8 users.
For one who uses emails a lot I would recommend ' mobile documents' which can be downloaded from nokia beta labs.
For one who uses facebook and twitter I would recommend socially ver 3 which can be downloaded from' daily mobile' forum.
All those who are giving bad comments about n8 either don't have this beauty or they don't know how to use a symbian smartphone. The room for customization in n8 is immense.
One more application is very useful for sharing photos over social networks, that is, Pixelpipe.
Gaming is excellent over N8 thanks to the dedicated graphics chip installed in it.. I've got a lot of HD games installed in my N8 and their performance is superb. I'm having spiderman hd, assasin's creed, etc.

To anyone who can't wait for minor firmware update you could Try install N8 mods v4.0 it will give you landscape dialer,faster kinetic scroll,continued auto focus and etc. :-)

Hi, is anyone else getting the "Memory full: Close some applications" error quite alot? been onto nokia Support and they said to restore the OS but it's still doing it with no apps or anything installed.
