I am aware of the fact that a high capacity memory card does slow things down a bit but it's almost abnormal on the N8. I'm looking forward to the PR 1.1 as they're saying it improves performance. I'll part ways with the card otherwise! Thanks for the info! Cheers!

I've read it somewhere here, He has the same problem as you. Try removing or just use your previous card(if you have used one before). Since you don't need additional memory as you've said

I've upgraded memory for my N8 by adding a 16GB MSD. The issue is, it seems to have slowed down considerably. Just to make things clear, I don't really require so much space but I just had to try up-sizing the memory to see the effects and they're not very healthy! Anyone else facing the same issue?

Ok. So, have had owned this phone for about 2.5 months. What can I say...?
It's brilliant.
By far the best phone I've ever owned, so well worth the wait. It has never crashed on me, it's as responsive as the day I opened it, and 100% reliable is by far the best part.
I love that I only need the one gadget these days to do every job, and do it awesomely!!! 12mp camera and HD video recording, easy to use music player, GPS with split second sat lock, Email on-the-go, Internet anywhere. I'm all set!!!
Some USEFUL apps I've downloaded from the Ovi store are Skype, Qik, HP iPrinter, TuneWiki (internet radio/music with lyrics), Here and Now, Accuweather. Not to mention the cool and FREE HD games. I have downloaded alot more apps, but there's only so many that are useful for everyday and not just a 5 minute gimmick (I'm looking at you iPhone).
Honestly tho, there is one big problem with this phone - Nokia itself. I live in Manhattan, New York and this phone model is unheard of here. It has all the goods to beat the competition in every aspect (well, with the exception that it isn't 4G). The marketing team at Nokia needs to be kicked up the a*se. This is one great phone and noone knows about it. My partner has a heavily advertised HTC phone which is all the rave here, but seriously after playing with it, it's not even in the same league as this phone, IMO. Windows mobile??? Pass. But, maybe if the N8 was a common phone (a la iPhoneX) I prob wouldn't want to be part of the herd anyways, but I digress. If you are reading this and have been contemplating "shoud I shouldn't I" with the N8, by all means you should. I guarantee you wont regret it for a second.
(As a side note; the headphones it came with were actually brilliant and I'm the type who appreciates great sound so was expecting to upgrade these with a Bose or Monster Beats set. No need to! Loud and responsive. Like, really LOUD!! Booming bass. Better than my home sub!! Love 'em. The noise cancelling feature is a bit dodge tho. I've nearly been run over by cars a couple of times, haha)

I installed the battery meter from the OVI store but can't find it on my phone. Anyone know how i can find the app?
Also, the opera 10.1 app keeps shutting down. Is this a phone problem or an apps problem?.
Thanks

Good graphics etc, but does not get close on camera hardware etc. In fact, a couple of weeks back he bought a sony digital camera, as he was not impressed with zoom etc on Samsung galaxy. Software is better, but again Nokia are working on that right now and with several new firmware updates planned things are looking bright!!
