I played with the first Galaxy today (with Cyanogenmod inside) and after 10 minutes I wanted to hug my N8. Opera Mini works much better on Symbian, the keyboard is awful (you need a course just to be able to highlight some text, no arrows, bad layout, hard to edit anything), the menus are awkward, I need much more typing to do the same thing as on the N8. Whatever I do it wants to sign in with Google, if I turn the flashlight or compass on I get advertisements, etc, etc. I would need to test 15 similar apps to find one that works properly. I won't even talk about the camera. I tried some cheap Android tablet too, the camera wouldn't even start and it was as laggy as if you run Symbian on 100 MHz.
Anyway, some people report there's a fake "improved software" update, due to an error on the Nokia servers. If anyone reading this gets the notification, don't download it, it won't install.

First you charge the battery as well. If you cannot update your N8 by yourself , please find the IT technician to help you . After updating you can switch on / off the mobile data faster, setting the camera menu is better too. . .ect. .but the battery backup is still the same (not improved).
Thanks to Nokia for the amazing camera phone :)

You can change between thousands of themes, they change ALL ICONS, all UI elements, some themes have 1500 icons, no other OS can do this. Look at the ugly Android or IOS icons to see the difference. Screensaver? You can get Nokia Sleeping Screen and put your own image as screensaver, no other OS can do this. And Binary Clock Screensaver, Anna Screensaver, QooSaver... You just didn't look hard enough.

yes @ ANDROID ur Right NOKIA N8 is Wrost Mobile...i Agree with u but what to do i have alredy buy this handset so i am saying it is good handset but true is that it is wrost mobile of the world.....

i was also useed nokia n8 from last 2 yers..wow amazine feature...wow
when trund swich on its take 1-2 mints..music not so good..little bit of sound..many times get hange for low ram..limited apps on store..no live wallpaper..no new screensaver..so boring...finally i have trow out 4m my life....

You never used a Nokia boy, i understand that you have no clue how quality looks like. It is normal for kids who's toy is a Samsung. P.S. Nokia is using it's own maps (learn more, talk less;). Not that would meter for me if it would use Google maps;). What's with the frustration anyway? I don't remember saying something about your precious Google besides the fact that you are useless without asking it (for that you should be more frustrated then for a greedy company;). Now, take your toy and walk further, come back when you grow a bit and learn some tech and how useful is your quad-core in your 1gb RAM crap. When you learn that, you suddenly realize how much money you're mama paid for a plastic soap with a processor that you call smartphone.
