Anonymous, 29 Oct 2013@ android no matter bad things u siad abt this phone (N8),... moreyea ur right bro...but due to low ram, limited apps on store, no new apps like LINE(which is most inportant apps) many times get hang,single sim, small screen,low volume, so many nagative points :(
only Camera/Video quality is superb and 16 GB memory is plus point..

when trund swich on its take 1-2 mints..music not so good..little bit of sound..many times get hange for low ram..limited apps on store..no live wallpaper..no new screensaver..so boring...finally i have trow out 4m my life....

After upgrading to Nokia Belle ,this handset is comfortable to use . .especially bluetooth or mobile data on/ off ect. . ( as i know that only N8, C7, X7, Nokia 500, C6-01 and E7 supported by Symbian Belle ) . .this camera phone has good design , good picture quality in comparison with the other phones such as Sony, LG or Samsung Galaxy, good battery & signal strengh.
From Store i can download many free apps : compass, viber, whatsapp, dictionnaries , uc or opera mobile web browser ect. .
Making photos in the low light place (1-2,5m) is no problem ( Xenon Flash) . What i like the best from Nokia N8 until now is the quality of its pictures ( awesome !) . I hope that Nokia will upgrade Nokia N8 in the nearest future, because every users has their own preference, some people prefere big camera and the others like small camera phone.

There can never be any comparison between android & symbian, as symbian is way better than android. Android is much famous because it has too many apps, Thats it. Though symbian doesnt have apps in quantity like android But there are all quality apps which enhances the convenience of the user. I m using N8 (symbian) since 1.5 years, But I've never regretted not having android & still i dont need that crappy OS. Now about the people who are laughing at N8's specs, then to answer them, thought N8 has just 680 mhz processor, But til now, it has lagged too rarely (i think just 3-4 times), which is way lesser than always laggy androids even though having quad core processors. Multi tasking is like fluid, using even 15 apps simultaneously doesnt lag N8 even a little, which too is not possible without lagging in android. & dont forget the most awesome part of N8, which can make any mobile down is its camera. I compared the pics of Samsung galaxy s4, even Sony xperia z1, But the pics of N8 are way better than any other phones. So now, just reading the specs on net, dont think u know everything about the mobile. N8 is way better than any android high end mobile. So 1st use it & then give ur weird & baseless comments.

I think N8 shld have attracted u.. can ur droid phone stand in front of Symbian Multimedia functions.. Like camera, Rich recording and more.. Most important is Battery backup in standby and not offline...

Its two year old phone n still manies want it.Two year phone having that type of features is very amaging. Nokia is a phone that lasts for many years not like that of anriod phones having cheap hardware parts n other. Anriod phones is not compatible with symbian phone but every Nokia symbiam S60 is compatible with anriod. See the power of Nokia's hardware . Nokia N series rocked and will be rocking !!!

[deleted post]I've had my friends' two galaxy s2 dual core. Lagged out of the box. Reduced the battery by 15% with 7 mins of gaming but I don't go on sweeping generalizations that android lags. Besides there is always cyanogenmods which will free it up from nsa crap.
Seriously, this page should be reserved for helping current n8 owners and not waving each other's organ in public.

I just love my nokia n8. I use it for two years. I wanted to try something new but I didn't find the phone that can replace my lovely Nokia n8.Camera is really good, it is pocket friendly, excellent build quality, offline maps and so more.
I recently buy new tablet nexus 7 2012, paid it only 150 euros. I think I have win win combination. Tablet for net and android application and Nokia N8 for everything else.

HAHAHA....THINK SOMETHING BIGGGGGGGERRRRR....Its of all Game+free apps lovers..Its only 256 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM & CPU is 680 MHz ARM 11( its amazing...hahaha so funny no matter for symbian user can secrifised..best of luck carry on with this Hanggy handset )hahhaha...
AND any normal Android has
1 GB RAM + Quad-core 1.2 GHz + HD support + Dual sim
AND MANY MORE... Think Bigger friends
I know that Android is more powerfull then Symbian...Unfortunily its true and Symbian is.....
hahahaha..........what Eles i can say...its true try to accpect this true that Android is best...

Carol, 31 Oct 2013Hey, if you have the official firmware, do a refurbish in d... morethanx carol i did dead usb flashing with the custom firmware and guess wht my n8 came back ohhh my god m so damn happy hn it came back i almost cried out wid my joy well thenew interface is much cooler the menu got systemizd like all internet related app went into internet related folder same as nokia maps nd drive went into navigation folder got new cool interface system UI is working excellent at times felt better than iphone gt new equalizers nd gt 166 mb on c drive all looking awesome....thanx for ur help nd advice carol nd mdn..... M writin this wid my n8

Android succed not cause was good or better (is not even close to Symbian when comes to capabilities, that crap cannot reach symbian's small finger from it's foot, if you don't know about systems try not to be ignorant and contradict me, bringging your free apps as an example;), it succed cause was new and advertised a tone before it's release. Funny part is that at it's release was a bigger crap that it is now. Anyway, everything that's new tend to attract the mass. And the wannabe symbian users were not better then the mass. Also Symbian was never advertised and a big part from the so called smartphone users this days had no clue there are smartphones out there and also those devices could do what android can still not do (in fact all crappy new systems are not able to do entirely what symbian is capable of). For them, icrapOs and hauserobot were the first smartphone systems in the world. Ain't that ignorance? So nope, the death of symbian came cause Nokia was idiot, others paid good money for their advertisement, ”chepos” who run after trend and the mass, who know's pretty much nothing, not cause of that crappy rrobott.
