If you have difficulty to send SMS, just upgrade the firmware.. You are using the old firmware and that incident happened to me before.. Hope you can solve it fast.. ^^

If your N80 is freezing when sending an SMS you will need to get a software upgrade. The same thing happened to my N80. So i got mine sent back to Nokia under warranty and got the software upgraded and now it works fine.

I've new buy My N80. But sometimes the MMC not detect, when I remove and plug again the mmc new detect again. Anyone can help me???

Thinking of buying the N80 Internet Edition. Mainly because it has the Wifi Wizard which keeps it connected on the internet without having trouble of reconnecting when disconnected. I'll buy this phone for it's wifi capability and it's 3mp camera. however, nokia has been producing crappy cameras for their phones so i dont really expect much from this phone. anyhow, i've been using nokia's symbian smartphones since it's first model came out and i wont stop supporting nokia for its functions.

N80 greatlooking phone with huge capabilities but unfortunately with too many problems like hanging,screen distorted image,etc.I repaired it&now working good for timebeing,I am using it as spare phone,what a waste of money

Can anyone help me please? I installed an update in my nokia N80 and it simply went off. For 2 days I cannot turn on my phone and I don't know what else to do.

no i don't think thier is no option fo that integred on the because i checked it all phone but there are lot of phone softwar for the series60 3rd edition whodo record the vocal conversation

hey i have this phone for a few months now but i think i might sell it and get the iPhone since it has pretty much all the same features with a better screen (touch) and still has wifi. It is also cheaper. Anyone else think I should do this or not?

Some peopeles just use it as a phone some knows they can listen to music serf the web chat on agile messenger watching tv on the net 3g conferance .
lap tops on wifi las up to 3h to with music videos video streaming skype !!!

The battery dosen't last a couple of days.Turn on wi-fi and surf the web and you will be lucky to get a couple of hours!

When ur N80 says 'memory full', you should delete or move some files from your phone memory. N80 is a much better option than the N93 looking at all the aspects. N80 IS ACTUALLY THE BEST AND CLASSIEST NOKIA, OR PHONE, ON THE MARKET.

cannot decide whther to get this phone, or the n73 which a mate of mine has. currently have the n70. anyone got any help on this?
what kind of battery life have people got out of the n80, i hear its only a couple of days?
also, does the n80 do the contact name voiced when they receive a phone call, like the n73?

Look guys the N80 is a great phone, yes it does have a few technical hitches but the phone ROCKS all the same. It's definately the best all round phone, it's got everything! If you find your N80 running slow or it takes ages to open an application I highly recommend you pimping your phone with a 1 or 2 gb memory card (updating the firmware is also good). Download the SMS accelerator from the nokia website for faster sms sending. Hold the menu button down for 4seconds to view and close any applications that may be running in the background. The more open applications the slower the phone runs (so close them if you're not using them!).
I've been using mine for over 6 months and it's been running smoothly since 1gb joined forces with N80. Plus using Wi-Fi is excellent if u can locate a free wi-fi zone.
