I think the N80 gets messed up when they have it branded by a network provider because they install they're own firmware.
when you buy it alone without any network package (unlocked phone) and with the latest official Nokia firmware, you wont have a problem with it.
been using it for more then 6months and no problem at all.

Orange stopped selling it now o2 and no doubt vodafone will be next.I suffered a loss of nearly £200 pounds when I sold mine on ebay.I wonder how much the networksl have shelled out!And just to add the n80 I bought didn't have any operator software installed as it was sim free.Nokia should be sued for selling faulty goods.

My mate works in the vodafone shop and he showed me a pile of n80 return's plus a massive list of e-mail complaints.Think carefully before buying the n80.

i currently have a o2 contract 6280, i've got 3 months to go and really want to get the N80, but o2 dont do it anymore and i dont want to go with another network or use the carphone warehouse/ phones 4u as they are 2 expensive pls help!

Hey, I've had this phone for 2 months now and already the slider is quite slack & shakey. I admit i dropped it twice, but before that happened the slider wasn't as firm as say a samsung phone a buddy of mine has. Is there anyway I can fix this? Otherwise it's an awesome phone, I use windows live mobile all the time. (check http://www.series60v3.com/ for software, games themes etc!)

some of u are asking too much from nokia~ they give u this u want it better.... asking u to pay more u wouldn't.... some of u said it's the worst phone ever from nokia..... most of u have problems with the slider.... so just becareful with it.... battery wouldn't last days? wats ur charger for????it'd like to know one thing.... most of u having problems like hang or slow response would it be due to the external memory card size ur using???(query) 3mp and 2mp cameras does not show the quality of the picture but the size of the picture so do not use the megapixel as a standard for quality but it's for size of the picture.... and xenon flash is definitely ebtter than led light flash... and carl zeiss lens is better. which all these features does not feature in n80:) updating firmware would solve some of ur phone bug.... so do try that...... we could get AP phones so nokia center isn't my place to visit~ cheers happy holidays and merry christmas

The battery life can be alrite if you know what your doing I'm a power user and I get 1.5 days out of mine you guys do know that you can even use the opera browser on this phone and other brilliant programs like handyzip some other stuff too nokia do a lot of market research and they knew that many nokia users wanted the n80 power up to nokia

It's a smartphone with symbian os Not a laptop or top end pda/phone and as such should not have such high expectations.The n80 is a reasonable product.

I had an n80 and I can quite honestly say it was the worst phone I have owned.I paid £374 for this-The signal reception was very poor,especially in comparision with my n70,slider was loose,wifi wouldn't connect to a belkin router,printed photo clarity was poor and the battery cycle meant I could'nt rely on using the phone for any length of time.End result-sold on ebay for £180.

And by the way try playing around with the phone for a couple of hours,the battery wont even last a day!!!

This phone is just a waste of many and time. I am a sales person working for a phone company.I have used so many phones, cant list them here.Nokia has the worst customer service and the n80 is the worst phone u can buy.Got this phone a month ago same day tryed to charge didnt so we sent it away to get it replaced took them 3,5 weeks and they still sent me a back a faulty n80 whichs bluetooth and wireless lan doesnt work. Talking about camera quality try a sony ericsson or samsung 2 megapixel phone it will give u better quality than the nokias 3 mp. Try it n c it withy ur own eyes. Dont worry about specs they give on the internet test them urself.As a retailer i will give u guys 1 suggestion stay away from nokia.U cannot go wrong with samsung and sony ericsson....

my n80 has problems...when i tried the voice command..it wouldnt go..it would show the bar progressin 1/4 then it would disappear..and sometimes when i want the phone to connect to the internet it wont..

just a suggestion,never try to do anything wid da slide of da phone i had da same problem i went to nokia they did nothing abt it den i went to a cell shop he tried fixing it,some how he did it,but i had scrathes on da edges on da inner side of da base near da keypad n da phone was to rough to handle,an in abt a week da strip of da phone broke i was screwed so never do it,coz other sliders phones hav spring action but dis 1 has a rubber strip so it cant be repaired

oh i love it,have it since last 8 months n no problems as yet,when it starts hanging just update da firmware,best slider phone have compaired it wid all even wid da SE 850i which is costly but dosent has zoom in picture mode at full pixels (2mp),best feature of using a nokia phone is u can download software(easily)available on net n u can fix ur problems urself,battery is fine if u select da gsm mode.
