And another, the N73 is a triband fone, it DOESNT have WIFI. So that sucs, because all the connectivity tools are in the N80. I guess nokia's engineers tried tweaking the Simbian Os since they knew that this is a powerfull phone.. and ofcourse when the Nokia n83 will be relesed next year, the real great Nseries phones will arive! So just hold on tight, you know how nokia makes a big deal on their ad campaigns, like its the next story, but it really isnt...

I tried transfering a sample N90 video to the n80, and it worked, the n93 video doesnt seem to work at the n80. My theory is that the quality of the video recorder may be adjusted to the n90's, but ofcours, the result will be far beter because the lense of the camera is a 3 mega pixel. all we need now it a good video recorder application, and a fix on the mp4 compression format since the n80 is capable of doing such. I think that the n80 is a great fone and one of the best since it has all the great features in it. Not to mention that it is a QUAD BAND Phone. All you need to do is add a 1 gig mini sd card, (like me) and find a good application/s for it. It is even a great Mp3 player for me. with reguards to the battaery life, just buy a spare one, it wouldent hurt you know... By the way, the phone works how you want it to work, and if your good at maximizing its usage, it could do wonders... If you ca do this, then that means, you are a POWER USER...

Many people dont seem to understand how reception bars work. Just because a signal is full on one phone doent mean that phone has superior recption. It depends mostly on what the phone supports.

The SEk800 for example doesnt not support faster speeds. K800 full reception is the equivalent of only 1-2 lines on the 2G signal bar of a N80. This is why data/internet users find N80 attractive. Most phones do not support all speeds. Its one of the big selling points of the E series against Windows Mobile devices most of which dont even support faster 2G speeds.

Kenny, thanks for the link to the autolock, now my phone is perfect. Awesome phone since I had it over a month.

Here are answers to some of the queries earlier:
                            - contacts, from my phone memory, where I still have 20mb free, I can store another 20,000 contacts.
                            - sms messages, all depends where you assign it, otherwise its limited only by your memory on your phone or memory card. Over 115 sms messages thus far and counting.
                            - it does have a message counter, click in any message and on top it will tell you the number of the message out of the total. To check mins used, click into "my own" and then "log" where it can log all activities of the phone up to 30 days. I'd guess some ppl here don't read their manuals or don't know how to operate their phone.
                            - to delete themes, go to "tools", then "app. mgr." from there one can delete the themes.
                            - the poor battery life is far exergerated by many ppl here.
                            - For those who says N73 is better, its a matter of opinion, I've known ppl who own it and I must say I'm much happier having a N80. Also I am not a fan of the joystick.Where's the wi-fi on N73?Also the keypad is far too small on N73.
                            - I've own more than 5 Nokias too, and this is the best by far yet. Definately not a slow phone, reception is excellent & clear, further connecting to the net is amazingly quick.
                            - Last but not least, if the sms message writing is too small, you are too old, perhaps you shouldn't be using this phone. Or else get new glasses?

i've had 5 nokias previous to my n80 which i'd had no problems with. my problems with the n80 are 1. bad coverage of my network, which i'd had no problems with before, must have a bad antenna. 2. it freezes in the middle of a function, have to remove battery to reset it. 3 . keeps disconnecting bluetooth headset. 4 . the voice tag feature is useless , it fails to recognise human voice, you have to speak like a robot. 5. the text message writing is very small. if you use the phone alot for work and you're on the move, dont get this one.

i have had the phone since may. perhaps its my pc, but while the poor nokia music manager program suggests using an ultra compressed aac format, anything other than the normal aac setting produces clicking tracks on the phone. battery life is very poor. my 6230 used as a mp3 player for commuting to london lasted 5 or so days, this phone needs charging every night or it dies half way through the second day. with orange at least the 3g signal is pathetic, often not available, and then the phone will drop the call rather than switch to gsm, if it finds a gsm signal. the boot up takes forever, while switching between apps is messy on the screen. the phone does like to reboot when it gets lost, a feature of every nokia since the 8310 it seems. the radio ap is very buggy.there is no call or message counter and the menu layout is not very good. the phone is chunky and very heavy, and really shouldnt have made it to sale in this state. it should have been a killer package, it isnt.

N73 is far, far better than N80. I used N80 for more than a month only and I swapped it to N73 as soon as N73 is available in the market (KSA). N73 has a long life battery, camera & video is amazing, screen is bigger, and processor is fast. Whilst N80 is very slow, camera & video is totally awful, battery life is terrible. I would suggest to everybody don't buy N80 but instead buy N73. I myself experience the difference between these 2 models and N73is far better. I believe N70 has better camera and recording compare to N80 because I used N70 as well (N70 then N80 then N73, and looking forward to have the N83 or N95 as expected to release before end of this year or early next year.
