Does the N80 allow you to use double digit speed dialing? For example: dialing 2 numbers such as 12 then pressing "SEND" to call one of your contacts?

I am now on the third N80 I have been given. They have all suffered form the same problem, including the latest 'third' one I have now. In essence, as far as being a phone is concerned, it is without doubt the worst phone I have ever had. I have always supported Nokia, and bought their phones, but this experience has put a great deal of doubt in my mind about their technology. I am in the UK and on o2, and the phone will loose reception on a random basis, and all three have been the same, yet when I transfer the sim card back to my trusted 6310i, I have excellent reception, with no dropped calls or reception. All the other features of the phone are great, and work well, but the fact it doesnt work well as a 'phone' is a real problem!! Nokia claim that they dont have a problem with it, yet the o2 shop I bought it from told me 'they have had loads back!!' As for me, I need to look for another phone with the same features that also works as a phone - and guess what, I dont think it will be another Nokia.

Im having big troubles installing themes to my new N80,It says installations of SIS. file is not supported!! Could you plz help me resolving this?

Just got my N80 this morning :-)
have ordered myself a 2 gig card
brilliant screen on it, much better than my Faulty N91`s
will try the music out later with the headfones
my firmware with this O2 handset is as follows

Is this the latest firmware for 02 handsets in the UK
or do i need to take it to get it updated?

it's the best phone i've bought so far. very handy with the memos meetings right on the main screen..
i've own it for 3months now.. the big problem is that when i use new themes and turn the phone off, i turn it on again it changes to the original nokia theme. i've had several restarts.. and maybe the cache size isnot that big... and oh there was a time when i was browsing, the colours on the screen started moving, as in distorted. totally freaked me out.
but all in all I LOVE N80 :)

I definately agree with you . The N80 looks great and the features packed with this phone are simply outstanding . Ive been in two minds to buy this phone as ive always used SE , nd using p900 now . But all you ppl who are confused , jus take the plunge . N80 is worth the buy .

@Adam There is no SE phone (nor Samsung or Motorola for that matter) which come anywhere close to the N80 featurewise. Yes you got the Sharp 903 (best pictures) Tytn (best OS - windows compatibility and most programs) K750i or similar (very small and handy) but the N80 is everything in one device. Try using your local WIFI network from a k800 and you'll see what I mean. Or try configure the D600 etc. as a pocked full blown internet server over a fast and fairly cheap EDGE network. You complain about the size but in reality is only marginaly bigger then a k800 and it has functions galore which blows away any Samsung, Sharp, SE or Motorola. Look at the screen quality and try to think unbiased ! I don't care if is made by Nokia or the Russians or Americans or Osama bin Ladden or who ever. If is the best in its class then is the best :)

I just bought this phone yesterday and prior to this, i am already looking to buying this phone because aside from it has already wi-fi, radio, bluetooth, IR, it really suits my personality and lifestyle. It's like a combination of my Palm T/X, Ipod Video 30gb and a handyphone in one!
It's a great phone. I don't mind the sliding open and close... i see its very stable.
All i can is, NICE! FANTABULOUS!

I got this Nokia N80 even though I did considered SE models with similar specs. However, all my SE user friends told me if I want a phone that works well as a phone, i.e. good reception and reliability, don't get a SE. However, they told me if I want a phone primary as a MP3 player/camera, than get a SE. I want a cell phone thats serves me well primarily as a phone.
No regrets buying this Nokia N80, its the best. Ppl who complaint about the hanging problem with the sms, I don't have it at all, perhaps you need to upgrade your software? Also its not a slow at all, just as fast as the 6230 I had previously.

I dont understand why people are buying this phone so much. It is fat and ugly, weighs a ton and the camera quality is unbelievably bad compared to the SE K800 and even the D900. Not to mention the ridiculous price tag. But all these Nokia freaks keep buying...... All the best to them. Ill enjoy my SE!!!

VERY DISSAPOINTING!
The phone looks good and is much smaller then i had anticipated. However, the phone is still very thick (compared to my old V3).
The phone freezes a lot when using camera, internet etc... (not a lot of memory)
I would give it a 4/10

I thought nokia n80 is a very good phone but the battery is a mess....it last for only 1 1/2 days even though i haven't use this for calls..only for 5 texts.....i am really disappointed!
