I have been frustrated by the n80 since getting it about 2 months ago. The battery life is awful, the phone constantly drops calls and crashes, the software is slow and inconsistent and the slider means that you aften answer the phone while just trying to take it out of your pocket.
The phone is heavy and bulky and cannot be carried comfortably in a suit jacket.
The flashing blue light on top is also very annoying if you keep the phone by the bed in case of late night calls.

I have been using this phone for about a month now and the battery is giving some hard-time, the standby time barely surviv for 2 days, else the talking time is just not enough. Does this problem exists just in my phone or WHATT??

I have had this fone for about 2 months now and i have to say i love it ... some times it give a lil trouble but wat fone does not

to mike i know how many mssges ive sent by activating all delivery reports and counting up the delivery reports ...Not good but its only way i do it ..Just been getting some themes & wallpapers downloaded & they are so detailed & show off the screen colours..On every nokia symbian phone ive had theres never been a stopwatch so i usually d/load a java stopwatch from zedge but its not there anymore so will have to search for one,,i use the stopwatch quite a bit along with most other apps,,i dont know,! there are not enuf hrs in the day to play with this sophisticated gadget

Hey Adam do you possibly know what the rails are made of? Metal or plastic. I cannot distinguish.Anyways, I hope the phone will not break even if I drop it. None of the slide-up phones I have had (Nokia 7650,samsumg D600-D410) has broken,despite the severity of use.Thanks in advance.

Nokia N80 slide is easy to fix, permanently.
You'll need a T6 and a T5 torx screwdriver.

there is no message counter on this phone so you cant check to see how many you have sent another money making scam by the phone companys

hey guys i am thinkin of gettin the N80. i have had the Communicator 9500 for 1 yr and 7 month. So any1 who is using the N80 do u advice me to exchange my Communicator 9500 with the N80? i know it only has the Office viewer and not editor and i really use the Word and Excel alot... !!!

Just got a nokia n80 but it looks like nokia have forgot to put a message counter on it well it looks like i am going to have to go back to sony as i like to keep an eye on how many texts i have sent any one no if it has one

Hi. I have been using N80 for a week, and i didn't have any problems with it. It has a great camera, great audio and the phone's functions are great. I didn't find any bugs in it, i just bought a larger memory card for it (512 MB)... so i can watch full lenght movies in mp4 format. About the battery problem... yes, older phones had better battery life.. but more functions.. less battery. It lasts about 2 days if i use it a lot (calls, music, camera etc).
btw.. buy the black version :P

I bought the phone a week ago and it is wonderful! My only problem is with the battery life. Can Nokia do something to improve? A new battery with bigger life? Iam forced to recharge every day....
