This set was that buggy that they stoped its production very soon and launched its next versions like n81, 82. Even till date nokia has not launched even 1 update of its OS. Whenever i need to reinstall its OS it says no updation available please reinstall its existing software. This phone is in ARCHIVED folder of nokia. Instead of hoping for this, sell it if u find a good buyer and buy any stable new comers...

Never buy i know this pathatic phone is no more but donet even buy 2nd hand! Because:
1. Very slow OS
2.Unstable OS, Hanging, self switching if too much data is loaded.
3.The text typing speed degrades as text character keeps increasing while u r typing a long sms, even sometime at the middle it will switch off and ur whole typing gone waste.
4.Frquent reinstallation of OS requires probably after every 2/3 months, many abnormal problems pops up itself, like u assigned a ringtone in a profile 1st few sec that will ring then nokia default tone will start upon getting a call.
5.Hardware is rather worst. U must not let it fall, once if it fell, something will stop working internally and its repair is very costly, i have spent 4100rS so far since april 2007, and its resale price is 2000/3000 ha ha ha i cant even sell it now.
6.Being a sliding phone if u slide up and down unnecessarly there is a megnetic belt inside it that ll get wear and tear and again multiple issues will start i have even paid on fixing this also.
In conclusion this is a money hunger, pathatic and a slowest mobile thats why nokia shuts it off immediately.Full of bugs, and last but not least battery life is poorest i wont say battery backup, becz i never seen any backup however i need to carry a charger always with me to provide it current back up. Cheers!I wonder how here gsm marina shows 7+ performance i rate this handset 3/10

I hve n0kia n8o, and itz so cute. A small versi0n of n95. But d cam is n0t so g0od! Im n0t hapy f0r d perf0rmance!! And may i kn0w dat d n8o can play y0utube using wifi?!

N80 is a great phone both should be changed to a normal phone not slide and should be a little bit reduced in size.i mean it be made slimmer.

i hope that NOKIA will make a MORE IMPROVED nokia n80 but with larger screen, a 5MP camera, not bulky, larger memory both internal and external, and not a slide type phone but a block type one.
yes, this is one of the best phones nokia has ever made. soft keypads, has infrared, bluetooth, and WLAN.

N80 is one of the great phone nokia ever made. But Ihate the Camera, although its 3mp, the picture is always blurred,I have to be very steady when taking pictures and stay for like 2secs after taking. TSK! The video is worst,before n80 im using n93 and it way tofar from its camera. Im expecting more enhance camera from n80 since it is more advanced/newly released by nokia.
Aside from those thing,everything is great, the size compare to n93.
I have a question, please answer me, the blue light on the top of the unit just below the N80 sign. what is that for?
