Ooohh!, Finally, I went downtown today on Michigan Avenue here in Chicago, where Nokia opened up it's first Flagship store in the USA. They Had the all the latest N-Series phones there for trying out.
I went straight to the N80 to see it for my self "hands-On' maan, it is an amazing phone. The Sounds Quality from just the speakerphone is reaally good but not perfect! I am sure with the Stereo headphones though, it'll be excellent.
One of the N80's they had in the store was hooked up to a JBL Desktop speaker set and the music was playing from the N80, Amazing sound!! The Wi-fi was quite snappy.
It's basically the Do-it All phone. Too many of its great features overcome its few cons such as battery life, which really depends on the user. My advice is, go buy a car charger and have fun with an amazing little gadget!
I need to save up some money and get it.

I'm evaluating this phone for work. So far, I like it better than the Windows Mobile devices we've been using.
The biggest negative I've found is the lack of an Activesync application to connect to our Corporate email system. Roadsync does the job but, considering the price of the phone, I'm amazed that this isn't a standard feature.

Mean while, we in the States can't get even a decent phone from our GSM carriers. It's hard to believe these carriers actually pay their buyers to buy such crap. We want the N80, but it's been delayed now for months.
Come on Cingular, get your act together. You're spending millions building out your 3G network, and you only have one phone that you sell that can utilize. I was in your phone store yesterday, and it's still all the same crap you had in there last Christmas. Maybe one or two new phones that you'd have to be a moron to want. I'm a cell phone geek,who right now is so bored looking at your offerings, that I will probably stop looking.
Don't call me I'll call you. You guys are depressing.

i am a nokia user (s60 only) and i wasnt slagin the 6230i off, i was stating that it has no chance against the n80!

Purchased N80 2 days ago.
Today it does not power on anymore, regardless I push on the power button. Anyone has an idea? It is not the battery.

to matthew, i dont have the n80 but, i think.. try trasnferring your pics thru the pc suite, that way i'm sure that the size wont change.

I Love this fone, i have 1 concern though, how come whenever i take pictures and then send it to my e mail add, its size automatically becomes a thumbnail size, the quality of course is very poor and the image is so small i cant even use it in friendster or myspace because of of its size, can someone help me on this?

I am sure this question must have been asked already by somebody but without going through 200+ pages, what is considered to be the best anti-virus to use on the N80. Thank you for any help.

Who ever said Nokia 6230i is...dan d N80 must bin drinkin!I bought 3weeks ago n its really great. d music player is good. d camera is superb, d display is d best ever! d browser is best I ever used, its alot of fun wit d N80. D size is ok for a smart phone. its a real jack of all trade.
battery life is a short fall, though, bt gets all my vote over all.
think I'm blufin, get one!

I wanted to buy this phone, can anyone please tell me how is the sound quality in this phone? Is it like Nokia 6270, N70 or N80?

Is it really worth it to get this phone. I know the P990i will cost a fortune and the next best thing for me at least for another year is this. Is the phone really that bad?....i've heard it's slow, buggy and reboots. Also how do i get the latest firmware update?

I totally agree with "me" nokia 6230i is a great phone..i know 2 ppl who have n80 and they are rubbish! Everyone to their own opinions tho.

Anyone use SELEQ on N80 or know where to get this app for the N80? Version 1.7 does not install on N80 but works fine on N70. Thanx

I found that a magnet in a carry-case locks annd unlocks the phone, anyone had the same happen to there N80?

Hey I think we should concentrate more on N80 rather than other phones. Ultimately this is the forum for Nokia N80.
I want to know more about N80! Everything how people like it.

Nokia wont officially announce the N83 before the N93 is released because it would hurt the sales of N93.

actually its already being planned the n83
nokia already mastered all those technologies the only new thing in the n83 would be the 5mpx camera. and they did a splendid job with the n93 even the prototypes the pictures are the best! even better than k800/k790. so i don't think they will waste too much time in releasing it.
