Hey there, one quick question, is there any difference between the Asia and Europe version? For example, one with Chinese input but not the other? Or will the English text looks different between two different version?

I am in Australia and N80 is not available yet. However I found a shop that sell Hong Kong version....any comments would be much appreciated.

        Thanks.

had it now for 3 days and it beats my expectation...i first cud not believe the size its small to me much smaller than my 6680..battery got 9 hrs 5 mins back to back mp3 wich compared to samsung d600 of 4hrs...it has not crashed as yet and i think its because its got 30mb more than my 6680 so ive got a bit more leeway at present.MP3 is crystal clear to me and you adjust it to your liking or use your own cans with the supplied adaptor.Screen is just pixel free and plays my 176 x 144 vids full screen with hardly any pixelation.Camera is good & as with batt time was one of my concerns but its pretty good with endless adjustments + done a bit of videoing but has been thundery so cant give comments other than its smooth and in a different league to n6680.So i think its absolutly briliant phone and have had many smartphones over the years,,i was toying with n93 but its to big for me & ive just seen a sim free price of forthcoming s/e p990 £665 so NO to that..Am really chuffed for first time in past 2 yrs with this beast & just ordered 2gb card from mobymemory,,,wahey P.S.did an initial 16hr charge.

To disable 3G network mode press menu button-tools-settings-network and switch to GSM and your phone will reboot to GSM mode. I havent noticed much difference between UMTS or GSM battery wise though. With GSM you probably get an extra half a day or so.

if you really think that SE is crappy
my brother is having SE and it fell from him like lets say a million times and nothing happened to it and if you are upset that SE produces a new product with the same features- although thats not true, they aren't the same features at all- what about nokia n90, n91, n92, n93, n70, n71...........
                                  comeon thats just the nseries..
i'm not against nokia at all, i think its the best in mobile phones..but be honest
and if you think that SE is crappy what about siemens???

Had my N80 for 2 days now and continue to be amazed. Wifi is a great idea, the gallery system is genius and with this amount of features its not going to be the quickest phone in the world. 'Chrome like' front and a classy black plastic base looks great with the neon blue lights. Hasn't crashed once. Sound quality rivals the sony walkman and the camera provides amazing quality aswell as a whole host of options and effects including shutter speed etc! what more do you want in a phone? a flash lite player and a web browser that gives you pc like websites? why not! this phone has everything bar a gold plates toilet seat. - apparently that wasn't on the cards.

Some of the Major shortcoming N80 are, CONSUMES TOO MUCH BATTERY(INEFFICIENT BATTERY),hanging up of the phone while using simultanous features, more weight and non slim, camera quality below standard 3m. and uneasy for putting in the pocket in short seema fragile to use

                                        To jas3012:

yes my friend it takes 24-48 hours here in Saudi Arabia to upgrade the firmware. I have previously sent an email to Nokia.com asking about this and they replied that it is a very normal time needed for such a major task if the official Nokia dealers are overloaded. Actually it has nothing to do with overload, it is procedure, period.

I think most, if not all, other premium mobile manufactures make the firmware available online for download, so the user can do it using the PC suite. Why Nokia is not doing this?!

I am trying to be cool regarding the N80, so I will upgrade the firmware next week and see how much better the mobile is.

                                        No hard feelings.
