just to say ive had both the n80 and the e900 both went back. n80 is a good phone but the battery life is not good at all. you must turn off everything including bluetooth otherwise it eats battery. wifi isnt the easiest to set up. the phone isnt that bulky in your hand but is in your pocket. it only has one alarm SE k800 has 4 i think.
orange are having allot of problems as their firmware is different to that of nokias ( orange have changed theirs ) so problems have been created from this. some programes are not working well at all. this is only on orange as fair as i am aware though. check nokia.com forums for details.
if you can put up with a big phone ( have big pockets or a bag to carry it round in ) and can put up with a crap battery this phone is quite good.
this did not however suit me and i didnt like having to turn off all the programes and extras just to get extra power.
also i forgot to add on the e900 post this phone is quite slow and takes along time just to turn on. this is when i had the phone brand new with nothing on it so i would hate ot imagine what it was like when i had more information/photo/programmes/message/etc stored on it to slow it down even more.

people coming on here telling us off about poor battery !! If nokia used a lerger battery or a lithium polymer type things would improve without to much agro.Samsung are as bad with there silly battery lifes,,they can make there fones as luxurious & thin as they like but you only get unreallistic real life battery times and there aimed at the buisness user???I think s/e use better tolerance electronics & lithium polymer batteries to get there good talktimes just why cany nokia do it?

omg! i got my nokia n80 silver yesterday! my first impression was its so small!!!! i cant believe that after lookion at its pictures on the internet this megapixel monster would come in a small package! it was like my baby..(i get emotional when i get a new phone!) i couldnt really believe i thought it was like a dummy toy! the slide and body is solid, i gues some people think its loose coz its so small and kinda fragile, but its really solid. and i got the latest firmware (v3.0617.0.6) preloaded i dont need to update! sweet!!! and i was impresed that the flash was powerful! it was like a real digital camera! and the pics are sooo awesome too! and the most amazing part is the wifi! it took me only a minute to config my phone to my home network and i surfed easily! no problems here! its an outsanding phone. by the way , im in the US and i use cingular. its reception is very good and clear! and to think that the fun would end, i was even surprised that the phone even says the caller's name! awesome!!!

Hi, biggzy would love a customer like u.. oh.. hhaa

Do u know what's a mobile phone? To be carried anywhere to make call and doing other stuffs too. Why don't u blame on Nokia. Have many ideas but cannot solve the most basic function, that is to have good battery life, instead of carrying charging around, and worrying battery will not last in 12 hours especially when u use bluetooth ear set, or transfer files..

What's the point if u cannot do such things when battery life will drain off so fast... Ask yourself then, any meaning of having this phone?

ppl who moan about the battary being to weak, u gota remember the n80 has hi res screen which uses more power, music is louder than previous nokias, louder music means more power consuption, wifi which obviously uses a lot of power, so after considering all the above i think 1 day usage is gud for a mobile of this technology! so stop ur moaning and go and buy a 3310 if u want long battary life!

This phone has weak battery (barely one day), not enough RAM (17MB after boot), poor camera (extreme noise in low-light scenes) and poor housing (loose slider and battery cover).

Australia still does not have this phon, the nokie site said Q1 2006, which has well and truly past, but it now says July, 2006, and i rang Optus and they said they will have it in a couple of weeks, anyone else heard this or any other release date in Oz?

I got my nokia n80 a week ago and it's great. The battery life is ok for a smart phone but be aware if you have been using sony ericsson previous to th n80 you might be dissappointed. Great screen, fantastic features especially the wi-fi. Camera is very good also but it lacks autofocus. All and all it's gonna be very hard for a year or two for the manufactures to come up with a better phone than n80

                                Hi,

I own a N70 and I was looking forward to buythe N80 also. I have read the review. It says, the topline of the keypad is difficult to reach. I would like to know, from current users of N80, is it is difficult to reach the topline of the keypad ?

as you all aware the battery is not powerful enough (Li-On 820mAh (BL5-B).

The other alternative is to get spare battery with capacity Li-On 1000mAh. For Nokia its very hard to get Li-Polymer type.
