Andy Burgin, it's not up to Nokia when networks release a phone, the networks are the ones who test the handset on their service along with their own software, so it's down to the network for not getting the testing done properly.
This is the reason as to why T-Mobile and 3 have yet to release the handset, whereas O2, Orange and Vodaphone have the handsets ready for sale! I wouldn't be suprised if there are a lot of problems with the orange veriant of the N80, judging by the N70, Orange + Symbian = Pain in the arse for customers!

The N80 was a waste of time getting the Battery life as really shown how Nokia are really bothered about its top class mobiles, the slider was not designed right it should have been spring loaded so you could just flick the top part upwards plus there was no little ledge helping you to push the slider up,you couldn"t use it the radio an functions on it for long before you would see the power drain out of the battery,Orange added the photograph software but they can"t have done it right because if you took a photo or recorded a video it would say memory low an thats what made me make the right decision an returned it to Orange,Nokia just release the phones without the networks releasing them messing about with your mobiles an then i am sure the blame would go to them not you

Camera reasonably good but video disappointing bad...

Go for n90 or n93 if u want a good camera video phone...

Have a nice weekend ahead... Samsusddin (nokia funatic)

Yep the current firmware is tardy but DON'T flash the phone (upgrade it) yourself!!! This is because you'll void your warranty. If you flash it yourself and somewhere down the track your phone happens to malfunction, Nokia will not repair it for free! Take it to a nokia service centre and get it upgraded/flashed for free dammit!

Honestly to everyone - DON'T buy the N80 if you're NOT going to use its main strengths (e.g. 3G, WI-FI, Internet Browser, UpnP) because you're simply wasting your money. Unless your go full throttle with 3G (expensive) you'll never be able to experience the FULL N80 sentiment (i'm lucky cause my company subsidizes my phone bill).

It's simply a business orientated phone. You CAN'T set interactive wallpapers or screensavers nor is the music player a great visual experience like on SE phones (something that seems to impress most kids). The 3MP pics might look grainy on screen, but when you adjust them to the standard 600x400 print size, they come out like a gem!!!

And NO it's not big (unless you have really puny hands)- lets settle this once and for all.
