Do you recognise the "3 megapixel" at the back of this phone?
I'm just wondering, will this writing come out or it is designed permanent there?

I've been looking around on this website for months to compare phones..
Got tired.. I looked everything, LG, Samsung, Nokia.. and I end up with this phone. It is pretty expensive but a great phone!!!!!

Nokia N80 is only compatible with sisx files because it has series 60 third edition software whereas Nokia N70 has series 60 second edition.So inorder to install dvd player n ultra mp3 player you gotta download dvdplayer.sisx n ultramp3.sisx.All the best.

Goldfish: N70 has a S60 2nd edition OS and your N80 has a S60 3rd edition OS.
Altought you might think that the old software is compatible, guess what, it's not.
S60 3rd edition requires software's to be re-written before they work, so when you hunt for software to your phone MAKE SURE that S60 3rd edition or N80 is mentioned in the compatible devices list !!!

Forgot to add that they are offering it free on O2 600- I think thats 55 pounds a month or something.

Well Carphone warehouse are offering this beast free on O2, and if you go for a 18 month contract then you get another 4 months free. I think I will hold out for O2 to start selling it so I might get a better deal.

If you just use the phone normal function, like call and receive call, sms, mms etc.
you can buy 6280.
But the main problem is it just has 4M internal memory.
If you use your phone llke a Toy....(That is me)
you need go to buy N80.

my friend install dvd player.sis;ultra mp3 player.sis in his n70,but i cant.can anyone give me a solution?

Yes it is but it will slow down the N80. The 'b' standard is outdated by today standards although there are still some old Pc cards in use. The 'g' and ' g-turbo' is the way to go. Unfortunately the N80 only supports the 'plain g'.

Could you please tell me about the predictive text? Do you use that function? Are you able to save words not found?
I was previously using the Nokia 6280 and the predictive text doesnt work well.

this phone is an amazing phone.. fantastic display.. brilliant functions
but, there are bugs in the phone..
the video recorder is horrible when filming at night.. but during the daytime it's good.
and also sometimes it has got this -memory full- error and it asks you to delete your stuff..
i've heard there's a firmware upgrade available now.. is there really one?

yes vodafone do brand the fone and customize the menu but a new theme will change that, i got mine on voda frm vodafone store and luky enuf it was the first batch and they didnt brand it AT ALL :-) also got my unlock code frm them today for free and now i have a simfree unbranded n80 and am over the moon with it! iv not had 1 prob at all and wud recoment this handset to any1 who was a mobile enthusiast! its only let down by the vid recording quality, still images r crisp and matches a low end digi cam, 1 of my pics i took outside came out at 2145 kb, a 2meg image frm fone, it blew me away at that size!

Camera quality not bad but the flash are not bright enough except very close shots.
The video quality are bad for indoor, worst than N70.
If you don't need the wifi, go for N70...

where did u get it for $200?, it's kinda too impossible -..- for the other countries, the prices are around $600 -..-. it's too cheap at $200 -.-
