Hey , I got it too last Friday ! This phone is tops. Non other out there can beat it. After using a P900 (considered best for its time) for just over a year, I can't believe how much the technology has evolved. Wifi (g-standard) works like a dream from the word go. Nokia gives useful software with the cell (for a change). The screen is the best I ever saw in a cell. It will take some effort by the competition (including Nokia them self) to beat this one as a 'all arounder' :-)

              Hi guys!
Just wondering whether the Nokia N80 has a 3MP camera or a 3.2MP camera?
Coz' i have just find out in its phone specification section of the webpage that its "3MP" camera has been changed to "3.2MP" camera.
              Is this true?
Last thing, when will this phone be finally available in Indonesia? Anyone knows?
Any reply will be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

                Hey AXL,

The Nokia BB5 Firmware Flashing Guide describes how to upgrade the software on the Nokia N80. This guide also works with other Nokia phones (N70, N90, 6680, 6280). By upgrading the software (firmware) you can improve the features on the phone. Upgrades usually get rid of bugs/errors.

                Hope this helps!

                Regards,

                Gupta

                P.S.

By the way, after reading the review here and seeing the pictures, I originally wanted the phone in black. As Orange released the phone in silver only (surprise surprise!) silver was what I got, and I can honestly say I'm really quite pleased I did now! With so many other phones being black these days, it's made a nice change to have a silver one (my 7610 was black). And it definitely catches everybody's eye!! Everyone who has seen it so far is jealous as hell! It's quite a good feeling I have to say!!

Got this phone on upgrade from Orange nearly 2 weeks ago and I have to say yes, on the whole I'm very pleased with it. HOWEVER!!!!! In the short time I've had it, it has turned itself off four times and has twice completely frozen up and I've had to pop the battery out in order to do anything with it! Also, it has lost screen savers that I have set and has also wiped it's own memory, only for it to all come back again when I turned it off and then on again! Very strange! The resolution is great though and photo's that I have bluetoothed over from my 7610 look SO much better on this screen!!! Another point to make . . how freaked out was I when it spoke to me!! I couldn't believe my ears!! My friends all call it KITT after the Knight Rider talking car now!! An awesome piece of kit but I get the feeling Orange have stuffed it up somewhat by messing around with the software like they always do on al their phones. Don't think it'll be the only N80 I own between now and upgrade next year! I anticipate a fair few claims on phone insurance for faulty phones if this one's anything to go by!!

The battery is empty at the end of every day, sometimes well before, especially with wi-fi, I had to buy an extra battery. The low-light video and photo is useless. The slider and the battery cover is loose. Not the best $700 I've ever spent.

Thanks Bob! i'll try and let you know.

Yes, I did buy N80. (Pearl Black)
But having said that I'd like to admit that I am really looking forward to getting N83 as soon as it arrives in market.

Also I have ordereda 2GB san sidk miniSD card. Can someone advise if it will work fine with N80?

Truthteller, have you got yoursel an n80 then???

Anyway in response to your question, when accessing the wlan you use the same password as your pc/laptop uses to access it. If you havent changed it since you bought your router, then it is likely to be the same one you used when setting your router up.

Yes start to feel a bit loose on the slide, a little disappointed with the built quality after spending so much on this phone. When a company getting the main share of market, they just dont care about quality anymore. Never learn when they start to loose market share.
