Yesh! Stores are charging up to $150 more for the stainless steel version due to limited stock! I really hope the Pearl Black turns out to be the limited version with only Stainless Steel being released in the future onwards!

For god sake the camera and video on this devide is exelent everybody is saying how rubbish it is. You need to realise that you need to set it up which nobody seems to be understanding. you have gotta set up the colour light level etc when youve done that you will find that it is exelent. anyway its more of a heavy duty computing device.

OMG love love love this phone - the best phone I've ever had. It's the ultimate head turner on the peak hour train.

Black is indeed beautiful. Silver looks spoonish.

          Hi Guys,

I bought N80. I faced a few problems. Please help me out..

I have a movie file on my computer which i want to put it in my handphone. The file format is avi. I know that i need to convert it to 3gp or mp4 format. Well, when i have uploaded the file into my h, my hp fail to fimd it file. It's stated "no data"...

Is it that my format is wrong or I have converted wrongly or wrong settings?

Oh ya, anyone have any recommendations for this kind of converting software.

Your help would be much aprreciated. Thank you

            Video noise
A general term used in electronics to indicate any unwanted electrical signal, unrelated to the original signal. In video, noise is generally manifested as snow, graininess, fluorescent lamps, etc.

In the first place I never claimed the N80 was a replacement for any dedicated device. In fact the N80 is a marvel. There is one snag and that is low light video recording. It is absolutely terrible. I mean my wifes Motorola Pebl records video at low light levels better than this device. Do not forget I owned a N80 and returned it. Sure there are firmware issues with this phone and those can be resolved with firmware upgrades. This is a hardware issue and that means big expense for Nokia to sort this one out. Buy your N80 and do some video recording and you will find out what owners of this device are on about. In fact do a Google search for N80 video and I am sure you will find some examples on the net. In fact go to mobile review, under Nokia of course and look under the heading My N80 review by Alexander3 there you find a post with video shot in low light. All the Best

I got N80 after long bargain, esp in here what comes out of sealed box is urs.Nokia company is very shrewed it never tests its devices esp sofware which is main source of trouble. The price we pay is 1000% unrealistic and encashed on our craze & hype.Otherwise wait 30thjune u could get it at 400$.The irony is 6 months later releases r updated n problems resolved then why jump wait till its bluetooth version ad software of video resolution is resolved plus price stablized to 400$.Two fruits in onr buy Thx====U Crazy Bundles Wake UP.

It's nonsense to read so many comments about photo and video quality... this is a PHONE and it is MOBILE PHONE! It is not photo camera and it is not video camera. If you really want that - buy it. All-in-one will never ever be better than individual specilised piece of hardware. Thos opinion forums at gsmarena are turning into one big spam where people lie either by having and testing the phone before even phone has been released or by fighting each other who's phone has better pgoto/video quality. One big nonsense.

The best smartphone in the world indeed. No matter about a 4GB HD and TV support - there's N91 and N92 for that. I hope an extreme device.

Got my n80 yesterday on Vodafone. Had a good deal on the contract, and got the phone for free. However i am a little dissapointed with the camera and video quality. I have been playing this morning and i can shoot equally good quality pics with my SE W900i as i can with my n80. Maybe with a little playing of the settings i can get the n80 to be slightly better, time will tell. The only other thing is the operating system menu is a bit confusing at times. Again this may get easier as i use it. It is a great phone but it will take some getting used to.

How can't be available,in Romania is at vodafone since 5th of may a long with n91 and the price wrotten was like "T0 MUCH"! Anyway many that have it won't use it at full capacity......-lots of dods-.At this time is normal to have a digital camera, ipod, phone and laptop as separated things.Everyone wants to have "all in one",you wish the best phone with mp3 player ,take the easiest phone AND a ipod nano-Bang instant fun,but NO i wish my phone to be a camera, music player,pc,playstation3,pda,car,yaht,sexy girl, grow up people the future is not that close.

The fault of N80 is when you record video indoors, phone's screen is covered in video noise horizontal across the screen. Out doors the unit is fine but does suffer from video noise when film dark to light areas.

If NOKIA solve this video problem, N80 will be the best sell phone all over the world, and they will make max sales ever made. So is over to them; to either make good name, more sales or lose their image and sell less.

Hope this problem will be reported to NOKIA by the Network clients.
