Yeah, I agree. When you buy something for 1000 bucks and after a month you see the same thing but half off, you begin to feel really really disappointed. I truly don't think that this fone's price is gonna drop to $650 by the 5th of May. In fact, nokia n91 has been out for a week already with a price of $1200, and the price hasn't changed! N80 is way more powerful with all these features packed in it than n91 with its dumb stupid 4GB micro-drive. IF n91 keeps its value, than n80's goona keep its value, im sure.
Anyways, lets see which one is better, n70 or 3250. Actually, I can't really tell since I have no idea who you are and what do you expect from your future phone.
If you need EDGE, 3G and stuff like that than you better get n70. Its camera is also great. If you read a review on this site youll find out that n70 took even better pics sometimes than n90 with Carl Zeiz or Zeiss or however you spell it. It also has a flash which is not so useless as N80's (I've read that on www.mobile-review.com) It has an mp3 player, which hoesn't allow you to skip forward through your song, only allows you to rewind. Still, i donn think it has any big impact on your enjoyment of music. N70 also has more built-in memory, 35Mb if i'm not mistaken, compared to 3250's 10Mb.
Now, if you want something different from your old phones than 3250 is probably the way to go. Personally, I like it even better. Its coll twisting thingy, music buttons just like on a regular CD players we used to have 5 years ago. Newer OS system which doesn't allow old applications, that is, they donn work on it. But that's OK, I've read a bunch of opinions posted on 3250 page which say that htere are a bunch of new applications available already for 3250 and its OS. ALso, 3250 has EDGE connectivity whcih is pretty fast so, shouldn't have any problems with that. And it is way faster than N70 nad it is still a smart fone. So, if you want you can compare them even more. Honestly, I don't even know how slow n70 is. If you've used 6680 you should be familiar with its speed cuz n70 is the same, sometimes even slower as the review on this site says.

Can anyone give a fair comparison between N80 and N92.
Does N92 have wifi and wlan? I know camera is 2 MP for N92. Please, give other details of comparison if you care.

Thank you for your opinion.
But I have to buy a new cell with May 5th.
Maximum I can pay is $650.
I was planning to buy this N80. But its price is sky high now. Its useless to buy N80 now and cry later when its rates drop by 400 to 500 bucks.
So I have only two options left - Nokia N70 or Nokia 3250.
Please tell me which one should I go for.
Nokia 3250 is latest but less popular.
Nokia N70 is quite popular. But I heard its a slow phone. Is it really extremely slow? Should I go ahead and buy that N70 now? Any problems in dat?

You may be right, the price may drop significantly only after couple of months. I've been watching another nokia phone, the 3250, and the price on that thing dropped 150 bucks after 3 weeks. In the beginnig it was 550 bucks, then it was $389, an now even $349! I think it is due to a smaller popularity of that phone. As for n80, look how many people are thirsty to get it! If sales of this phone will be really good, than it is unlikely the price will go down very fast. However, I still have this thought in my mind that the price is too high and should be way less. Well, anyways, lets hope the price will go down as soon as possible cuz I want this freakin PHONE!!!!!!!
I wish it was $600 or so......

hello: stop saying the camera is so crap and post some pictures taken from the camera to prove it... so many people lie about these things so you need to prove it - it would be cool if you could upload the pics for proof.

I GOT THE N80 and it has a disapointing camera, the video is much darker then the n90, but for everything else it is smaller,faster,and it looks good the only thing is the cam woorks very bad in home use do to low lite...i guess the carl zienth makes a differance in the (n90)

Generally nokia cell rates decrease after 3 months and after 6 months, they come down heavily.
But N80 and N91 are priced so high, this is new. The price might even drop to 60% within a fortnight or so.

Why is the price so high?
It was expected to be around $600 in many reviews.
Will the price drop? In how many months can we expect a descent price of this phone?
$1000 is too much. An IBM ThinkPad will come at the price.

Erm... Sim free this Michelle McManus of a phone will set you back around £620.
Dont expect a price drop til around mid to end of summer.
And if you would like to see for yourself how much this phone will cost on contract - then check out "ex*pansys" and search for the N80.
Also note that NOKIA UK have already told me that the N80 will be released on Vodafone FIRST, so i would assume the price/tariffs found in the above link are pretty accurate.
However, considering how Vodafone is the worlds biggest rip-off telecoms service you could use, i would at least wait until it is avialable on a better network that doesnt enjoy robbing its customers. You'd hav to be pretty strupid to go with sh**ty vodafone in the first place anyway.
Lets just hope there are some good online deals for this phone by mid-may, otherwise if it is £400 on a £30 p/m contract, i cant see many of the desperate people waiting on this phone actually buying it....
