Theres like no difference between stereo and mono on a phone!! (except through headset)and N80 has stereo sound, just not a stereo speaker - but you wouldn't notice the difference if it had a stereo speaker!!You only notice the difference through the headset.

I noticed the N80 is no longer on Nokia USA website in the "coming soon" section, but it is still in the Nokia UK website. Have they given up on selling it the US, or are they just updating the website?

Also can ppl stop giving out dates unless nokia actually issue a press release. we dont want some idiot saying that my brother found out from his mate, who found out from an alien living on jupiter that the phone is out... its not funny and its not clever.

Nokia has just announced that the new Nokia N80 will be released the 31st March 2006. of a price of 500 euros.

What difference does it make if it has stereo or mono speakers? You'll use a headset to listen to music.
Anyway... the phone is stereo but the loudspeaker is mono.

Im not sure if this phone has got Stereo Speakers coz i want it for music. I prefer Stereo Sound rather than Mono..
Any1 have any idea what speakers dey are?

I think we all have to accept the fact that worst two things about this phone are the stupid slider design and the 3 megapixel camera that will STILL not shoot great quality photos!
I guess Nokia's motto remains the same: "You can't have EVERYTHING!"
I'm still gonna go out and buy this phone as soon is it is out in Egypt.. or maybe even before it reaches Egypt if I can get from abroad!

it's a cool phone.
i'm quite interested with it's UPnp. too bad it's 3mpx cam isnt' so good. nokia should have improved that already.

I had a nokia 7200 (retro lil thing )
is the n80 about the same thickness?
most people saw it as cute and original and not that bulky at all

I dont think this phone has been delayed they said 1q which is end of march (in 1 week) lets just wait.
Does anybody know if they will give us any information when its out or will it just be avilable. e.g will the tell us "this phone will be out on the 29th of march 2006" or will they just bring the phone out on the 29th of march? when they release it.

Seems some people are out of there mind.
First and foremost this is a "Smart phone with 3mpx cam/mp3 player/UPnP that comes with 3g/edge/wifi".
Its NOT a "music phone or 3mp camera phone that runs on symbian".
Nokia doesnt make camera, but this is good enough for a smart phone. If you want a cam phone go for SE or samsung Z710 or Sharp.This is not for you.
There are many phones out there with 3 hours talk time. The ones that has 8 hours talk time...does it comes with all that N80 has?
Just name one phone that gives you all that N80 has in offer.
..and you guys are saying its over-rated?

Nokia has delayed so much,that i fear that bugs ,and anti-climax for results will fail this model.MP 3 cam is gimick actually optical MP is worth.No body is familiar with it.Guys this model is already rated so high that PEOPLE will dicount it NOW.......

So a new (unreleased as yet) phone is over rated and you (the 3 in 1 commenter) recommend another new (unreleased as yet) phone?
Hmmmmmm, personally I'll trust my own research and obtain the N80 as a contract upgrade (not for $800!) when it becomes available because *gasp* it has the functionality I require in the form factor I'm looking for and it's made by a manufacturer who have a solid reputation for good support. Bit of a no-brainer really
