these guys are in touch with nokia all the time.. i have asked them bazzillion questions and they have answered them all...
they gave me pictures regarding the browser in action, and it loks pretty good..
and by the allaboutsymbian.com and wordontheblog.com have confirmed UPnP in n91
im just saying that the current trend is of music phones, more megapixels will come in the future, but this is one lovely device u ppl are gonna miss out on...
i like the n80 too but its too thick and plasticky not meant for music( the player isnt great and supplied headset have a lot of limitations)by this i mean it does not fit for the XPRESS MUSIC BRAND although
it coould be a good camera phoe (autofocus absent there.. competitors are releasing ones with autofocus)
im just saying i like n91 more than n80 though both have equal fan following
after addition of upnp, minimap browser, cif video capture it does lag behind the n80 as it used to
so it is, in my opinion, a better choice as a MUSIC phone

hi,i m frm singapoere..like u all..hv been waitin 4 the n80 till i m goin crazy!!!my sis bf whom work in a local operator had a talk with the nokia presenter 2day n he said tat the hp will b launch in july...i m so sad!!!! no joke!!!

viperkid, It doesn't state that N91 has minimap. It just states that N91 has Nokias new browser, but I knew that already. It's like in the opera browser... The newest version has an ability to zoom out to 20%, but it ONLY works on N90. Why is that? Because of the hi-res screen of course. Even if N91 has minimap it would be pretty much useless as the resolution is just too poor.
dhiraj, I can assure you that N91 does not have UPnP. Give me your source please. The manual wont cut it. It's not the final version at all. I have the manual too and I dont know about you, but mine does NOT say straight out that N91 has UPnP (which the N80 manual does). It just mentions UPnP in the WLAN section. Don't you think they would include information on how to send video and music to your tv and stereo in the manual if it had UPnP?? It doesn't say it will have UPnP on nokia.com either, so it wont.
If you think IR doesn't matter you are wrong. IR has been a very popular demand to new nokia phone after they stopped adding it. Therefor it's back. It also means you can use your phone as a remote control which i personally think is a great feature. Quad-band is awesome too. You will notice that when you go to countries outside the tri-band range. Your phone will be useless. Also, If you don't care about using videocalls then why do you want a 3G phone? I don't get it. If its expencive or not depends on the operator anyway.
But of course... The nicest advantage over N91 is the screen.

I dont think firmware can be changed regarding the autofocus, i might think it needs hardware as well

I am currently testing the prototype version of this handset and I can honestly say that it is not that bad.
It feels much more sturdier than the Nokia 6280 or the Nokia 6270 models. The screen is very crisp (a lot like the n90)
The camera is good but wheres the auto-focus? What is the point of a 3 megapixel camera when there is no auto-focus. Hopefully a firmware update will sort that problem out because it may prove Nokia's downfall once SE and Samsung release their 3mp equivalents, you can put money on the other manufacturers to equip their phones with Auto-Focus.
One thing, I have noticed is that the n80 occasionally lags when scrolling few menus. I am testing the unbranded version so there no customisation from my network as yet but hopefully Nokia can address this issue because you feel as though the phone will crash because of the speed in which you navigate through menus.

I've read a lot of y'all opinions ... some of N80 is better, some N91 is better. As of for me, I travel a lot, but it's different now, I don't have to carry my phone and my mini iPod @ the same time (let alone the chargers) I can just use N91 for both. In the other hand, if you buy a N80 + mini iPod ... u'll know what I mean =)

and yes u cant search for a song in the n80 becaused the music player is different than the ones on n91 or on n70 or on 6681...
its like the one on 3250, which isnt very great, in terms of song search, and its sound quality is like an n70,( n91's is amazing quality)...
besides if u look closely the build of an n80 is more plasticky andn91 is rich lokking like an 8800
im not saying this phone is bad, im saying that even n91 has very common features and that music wise( which is the current trend over cam phones) n91 is a winner hands down....
flash on mobile phones isnt as strond as in digi cams hence i not much into the 3mp thing.. coz deff more models with high mp will come... so at least i will stick to music.....

alexx i have an online user manual of nokia n91 , it does support upnp and i have pictures of the bbc.com on the phones screen in the minimap format.....
IR doesnt matter,quadband doesnt matter, the second camera quality sucks and anyway here in the uae video calling is damn expensive...
and ur forgetting the price difference is bcoz of the 4gb hard drive..
if u buy a 4gb sd card which may release in the near future , the total cost of an n80 would roughly be like n91's price

dhiraj: Wrong. N91 does NOT have UPnP or the minimap browser! You're also forgetting that N91 does not have quadband and IR which N80 has. And by the way... you CAN search for songs by using the keypad with N80.
So it's just just the camera and the hi-res screen, it's much more than that. On top of that N80 is cheaper and smaller and has a 2nd camera for videocalls. I'm not saying N91 is bad though, in fact it's my number 2 favorite after N80. All I'm saying is that N80 has more features.

what about changing covers? will we be able to chang it for the N80 or it sucks like the 6280 does!!

it be better if n80 has the same video resolution as the nokia 6280 (world first to have 640-480 resolution)

nokia doesn't need to learn from Sony Ericsson because they do the learning by themselves and besides nokia had actually increased their market share in the mobile phone industry and Sony Ericsson even beaten by LG in the 4th position making SE no. 5 in the market.. perhaps SE should be the one to do the learning from nokia on how to make a "real phone"! ya better get ur facts ryt buddy!
