TO,Lami........................
I would say that you were100% wrong when you said both N80,6630 have the same size screen,
i am a 6630 user and i know how small the screen when looking to N70,N80 screens.its more than clear that they are way bigger.I dont care what this site cause not everything here is ture and we have a note down that says that to.
as i told you,i am a 6630 user but also have an N70(spacetel,sbaphone)anyways,you said that both have 35x41mm,if we look at N70 here in this site we will see that its the same 35x41 but we know that N70s screen is bigger!!!! so its not true for the N80.
when looking for such small details then going to the main site of NOKIA would be the best thing to do.and the N80 screen size would be like N70 or even bigger(take a look to N70-N80 next to eachother and you will that they are the same but N80 is a bit longer)this pic is in this site also,so you can make sure.the agent of NOKIA in my area said that NOKIA N80 screen would be almost as big as SE W900i.

Hi Lami,
Thanks, I truly appreciate your response. I was hoping the screen size was bigger than the 6630, I own one as well. Interestingly, I follow the threads of discusions and post with my 6630 on the go, in Nigeria M.T.N Communications Ltd provides 3g services.
How does the Upnp works?.
Also, is there a 2Gig miniSD memory on sale for the N80?, because I learnt the highest sized miniSD avialable is 1Gig; please confirm.
Do you know if the sound quality of the N80 is better than that of the 6630?; was this by any chance mentioned in the specification of the N80. I need to gather more information and reasons to buy this wonder phone.
Thanks.

I still like the touch screen option that allows handwriting recognition and touchscreen keyboarding instead fo the letter by number system this uses. Although this is in most other ways a better phone I think I will have to go with the Sony P990i instead. Autofocus 2GB camera and no edge compatability...

Hey Adetokunbo,
The screen size of the 6630 and N80 are exactly the same, 35x41mm which is about 2.1 inch (standard non-touch screen smart phones should be 2.2 inch). But the N80 has 256K colors 352x416 pixels compared to the 6630's 65k colors 176x208 pixels.
As to the procesor speed. I knew the 6630 is 32-bit RISC ARM9 @ 220 MHz cause i have one myself stashed somewhere in one of my drawers (i love it, just had it for over a year, needed a change) but i am not sure whether the N80 is the same as the 6630 or just 32-bit RISC ARM9! I heard on some reviews that the N80 was reletavely slow, so i can be sure it is either the same as the 6630 or less, if someone knows for sure, and correct me if i am wrong please.
Of course there will be a new N80? I say who knows! Speculations over N81 or N80i, but it all depends on the success of the N80 in specifically highleghted by the great success of the N-Series as a whole. Through history, we know that is is very possible for nokia to come up with an upgrade to the N80, hopefully it won;t be just a software upgrade, but also a thickness degrade lol...

I would appreciate if anyone could clarify this issues.
Is the screen size of the N80 larger than that of the 6630 ?. Also, how true is the claim that there would be a N80i soon after the release of the N80.
What is the processor speed of the N80; that of the 6630 is 220Mhz.

This phone, looking at all the specs published on Nokia website, looks amazing. I have got to have one. For those pushing the N92 and other N line phones, the only one that will work on the North American UMTS(WCDMA) network is the N80.

Does anyone know if this phone is compatible with TomTom mobile? Because the N70 had all sorts off problems with it.

N80,has may be the high end of features, but Nokia has a deliberate problem of actually not matching the results what u actually see wth bare eyes, like when 265k was intro there were no distinct changes on 6680.Even the camera 3MP is far cry actually it will still lag behind SE physical photos appearence, and screen resolution of 352x416 will not physically match of samsung equalent. Nokia should at least lead in any of these fields. The monopoly n market has died out Thx

Hey Farah,
I took a look at the N92 also. You are right in some aspects of the phone. The N92 has 16M px screen which is just wow, GPRS class 11 and 90MB internalm emory! But the N80 is quad band and 1 mpx camera highesr than the N92 and has UPnP which i think is just amazing. Though not much differens really between the 2, the N92 is considerable bigger than the N80. Design wise, (personally) i would go for the N80 myself, if i had to chose between the 2 phones. Both are simply, and with all safety, the best 3G phones out there yet. It's just a matter of taste in the end. As far as i am concerned, i could care less about 3G, at least for now i do. I'm waiting for the 6131 to come out, and that would be my next purchase.
