yoda... autofocus has NOTHING TO DO with ZOOM!! the autofocus function is to refocus the object to make a better quality. I have K750 and the autofocus works very well--->it makes even a very small text READABLE IN THE PHONE, you don't even have to put it into computer to be able to read it, besides it has the digital zoom playback (which i found more necessary than the digital zoom when u take picture). I dun even bother about zoom when taking picture, unless its optical then i might use it. IN PRACTICAL.. digital ZOOM is USELESS, unless u are very desperate.
One more thing.. Sony ericsson DON'T NEED carl zeiss lens to beat Nokia's phone, because SONY has been known in the world-just as nokia in mobile phone- as one of the leading company in electronic devices, including digital camera---> this is the segment where nokia will never be able to beat sony, not in the next hundred years.. if they still exist.

It say that the memory card i "hot swap" which means that you can leave the battery alone, there will be at slot on one of the sides..

oh, and is it possible to remove the memory card without taking the battery off ? I now have a 6600 and i hate doing that everytime I want to put the mmc in my printer...
so.. did this phone think of that ? :) tks

pls tell me.. is it really important to have auto focus? im not good at theese things but i really liked the phone..i dont know exactly what auto focus does.. pls help !

Honestly, pls tell me what lens u would like to see on this phone? Carl Zeiss?
Maybe Nokia might just put that in next time around. Most phones are on cmos rite? so if you want a carl zeiss or ccd, suggest getting a digital camera instead.
Autofocusing..... can someone tell me how good this is on a phone, I tried the SE K750i, nothing impressive i must say with its 4X zoom.
So what exactly is a perfect phone, only the R&D guys at these phone companies know :)

Well I thought the N70 sounded like a fantastic fone with all I wanted. This is even greater, plus a large screen for the Geriatric eyes. 3 megapixel camera, what great photos this will take, along with the mp3 player & FM radio for the morning walk. Hope it gets released B4 XMAS. Come on Nokia.

dammmn.. i dont like nokia's phones, 6230 is little plastical crap with screen like (ericsson t28 to small)..but this n80 is most beautifull phone i ever saw..and 3mpx, just beautifull..unfortunally it is too new and cost too much so i gonna buy s.e. s700 for 220 euros..but for 1.5years n80 would be mine for sure..dammn black edition is beautyfull..can any1 tell me whitch phones got ccd camera chip beside s700,cmos are bad..

guys the screen for this phone is 2.1 inch !! Bigger than the Samsung D600.

Ya... agree n80 is nearly a king of all time but it's juz near 2 perfect 4 it's lack of auto focus 4 cam. It's a wasted feature in a 3mp camfone!!! Auto focus really works wonderfully! Currently owning n90. It's a vast different in foto taken w n w/o auto focus. A 3mp n auto focus would work wonderfully as e best nokia fone ever (not till they release another better featured smart camfone)!!!!!Very sad.....

Anw does anyone know if N80 can play mp3 files in stereo via its loudspeakers? i'm referrin to the integrated loudspeakers, not the external loudspeakers or headsets.
