The only difference between N81 and N81-8gb is that the latter has built-in 8gb flash memory. Hence, it does not have the MMC slot.
The former has 25 Mb internal memory and comes with a 2gb memory card in its slot. The slot can be used to upgrade its memory to upto 4gb.
So, if you wish to store a very large number of songs, or even movies, go for the N81-8gb, otherwise go for simple N81

can someone please tell me if you can use the wifi feature on this phone for browsing the internet on your phone via wifi or can you only use the wifi for interent call? Let me know, thanks

Is your N81 branded? The total internal memory on mine is 24.7mb and every other should be like that, the amount you have left depends if your Network has preloaded some files in to it. When i got my N81 it had around 18Mb memory left,then i removed the stuff the network put on it and i had 22.9mb out of 24.7mb internal.

Its not a big difference, between N91 and N81 in volume,although it is noticeable.

i saw the phone memory in my n81 its showing only 12mb as phone memory u said its 27 mb...

The N81 has had to go by the EU Volume Reduction Law so its not as loud as an N91 but Sound Quality is the same, the N81 is the better Music Device now. :-)
What is up with the N91 owners? Why are they feeling threatend by N81?

im back guys, first of all the demo games in n81 just can play for 4 times. than u need to download the games (if avalaible), also if u format the memory card or the phones than u auto delete the demo games. n81 may look bit like plastic but dun get it wrong guys, its a simple casing for it mobile and its help for the weight, can u imagine if n81 have a casing like 8800? how heivy it will be? and nokia try to get a new casing for it mobile. we're working on in. i mean asia nokia corp. e51 cant beat n81 for sure, n81 may be not the best nokia phone, but still one of the best for now. if u guys have a problems with ur nokia phones just tell me, dont comment before u solve the problem. u better not to worry bout the casing (still can change), but u should see its useful. dont regret for what u have, but enjoy it^^ i'll always here for help for ur nokia mobile problems..

maybe format affects it or

Havent realy had any problems with my N81, problems that ive heard from some people is that it has a wobbly slider but i haven't experienced that, with the early FW (v10) the navi-wheel wasn't very responsive but it has been greatly improvement in V11 and is now a bit too responsive,its as responsive as an i-Pod navi-wheel.
The problem with E51 is that it has problems with Opera8.65 Web browser but the built-in Nokia Mozilla Core web browser of E51 is A Lot better than Opera8.65 PLUS the upcoming Opera9.50 will work on E51. :-) so realy no problems.
What does N81 have over E51 besides flash and front cam?
N81 has the Touch sensetive navi-wheel thats active in Gallery, Multimedia Menu and Music Player,it also has the 3D Dual stereo speakers, 3.5mm jack, bigger screen, Ngage Gaming, better sound quality ,Nseries Rotating Gallery, Gaming keys and Music/Multimedia keys.

i've had this phone for 6 months now and this is what i think about it. this phone has a plastic feel to it which makes all the parts feel like its going to snap at any minute. the features are nice but the camera quality is poor. the sound quality is good but overall a good phone.i dont know if this happen to anyone else but some how~ dust/lint got in behind the lends and became annoying to look at,this really ticked me off.

The N81 actualy 24.7mb internal not 12mb, GSMArena made a mistake,so did a whole bunch of other sites. It works very fast and has no problem in opening big games. If you want a great Multimedia experience then get the N81, but if you more of a business person who emails and needs all meetings and appointments to be displayed on STAND BY then get E51. For a normal user i'd go for N81, in terms of features and multimedia the N81 is better.

while comparing the n81 with e51
i found tht n81 has only 12 MBs internal memory
is it affecting the phone in anything like making it run slowly or cant open big games or stuff !!
also am trying to choose between these two phones n81 & e51 knowing tht n81 the flash and the secondery cam over the e51
so is those deserve the diff in price
plz i need ur opinions and tell me if there is a problem in any of them
or any big difference i dont know .. :D
