sorry i forget to mention that 330Mhz/369Mhz processor is strong enough to play games size of 100MB so what is use of GPU oh they should have added this for just marketing purpose so that paid people should shut there mouth

      @sgswgfhmdgdg
I Think Nokia and me both have bigger brain than your microscopic nano sized with limited processing power capable brain i was not fighting with u but i think you belong to some iran terrorist u r language shows this quality u fxxk may me you not knowing but use GPU is not limited to playing games they are used for accelerating hardware for capturing high quality photos from 3.2MP/5MP autofocus, image stabilizer CAM taking photos from 3.2 MP and 5MP cam requires lots of processing power hence N95 KING,N93i and E90 have dedicated GPU (N81 dont have this) 330Mhz/369 Mhz processor is nearly 3 times stronger than what N-gage QD has (its around 104 Mhz processor if i'm not wrong) playing games on TV using phone is almost useless have u ever seen SAMSUNG D900I it plays game poor if played on large screen like 32" LCD TV as far as video concern there plenty of Nokia phones like N93i/N95 they have dedicated GPU and TV-out also N-gage gaming platform yes N95/N93i/N73 can play N-gage games. if they include TV-out, 3MP/5MP ,GPU ,high quality stereo speakers and VGA@30fps in N81 then who you think will buy N93i and N95 and adding GPU and TV-out will increase cost of N81 so middle class people will not able to afford it N81 is combination of 6233,N91 and N-gage but people like you just came either for time pass or just want to fight no reason may be u r one people who are being paid for droping rating of this phone.

my laptop is still the best for gaming!

my digicam takes large pretty pictures compared to this!

my radio is still has the most superb quality in music playback!

my plasma tv in my roon still has the best display i had seen!

my windows vista is still better than the OS of this phone.

my nokia 3310 is still the best phone for texting and calling since it has widely spaced keypad and its not cluttered.

my other phone which is the 1100 is many times cheaper than this phone and i could place it anywhere for it is small and easy to use.

and best of all (since this phone really boasts its memory) -

my desktop computer has 160 GB memory! this phone only have 8GB... and that's about 5 percent of my computer's memory...

pathetic phone... doesn't even had any award... such a loser...

          haha!

          Hahahahahaaaaahaaaaa.........

          just kidding!

i love this phone really, it's design...but not that much on it's features.

M@T2 rocks. Really. Thanks bud for clearing my doubts. I've summarized the following points about the N81-8GB from a layman's view. Bulky thing, heavyweight, huge memory, costs a fortune, gaming device with slide mechanism, kinda all-in-one [jack-o-all-trades] gadget, no TV-out for A/V clips, no QWERTY.

Due to the size and weight keeping the phone in hand -- instead of pockets -- is an absurd idea. Plus not having any intention to look like a Nok sales agent -- no pun or offense meant. The basics of a simpler life starts with empty hands [core-2 DUO meaning inside].

As a person with a notebook [multi-tasking, ease of use] for the e-communications and e-storage during tours, ruling out a 4GB fat phone without QWERTY takes a flash. My cameras come out during family-country time. Apart from that, neither fetish nor spying is my cup of tea and hence a 2MP camera in a phone is ruled out. The slide mechanism calls for using both hands to work on it. Antivirus installation would cost some -- both money and response time. Multimedia [games, infotainment] once again is offered best in the home PCs and the traditional home theatre system.

In my humble opinion, this phone is meant for the following people: Nok sales/promotion agents, people living in RVs who enjoy a superb partitionless all-in-one compact home who require a compact all-in-one gadget, spoilt kids driven by show-off and fetish, tech-savvy tech-review teams, electronics and design R&D personnel. People suffering from identity crisis would also like this phone -- it would shift the public focus from their brains to hands. Smart [??!!] people who depend on a carry-on accessory to entertain others would definitely buy it to stand out of the crowd.

Last but not the least, the Motorola StarTac got neither of FM, multi MP camera, multi GB memory, AV player, office dox. People still give it thousands of 2nd-glance and owners still use it with peace. I wonder why. May be at the end of the day, peace wins over pleasure [core-2 DUO meaning inside].

Are you all damnly stupid?(ALL OF YOU THAT SAY THE N81 ISN'T A GREAT PHONE).The N81 is the best phone i have ever seen I mean, with what slider with 8GB of memory and a Navy Wheel, you can play N-Gage games, make photos and videos, listen so loud and high quality music at speakers or at every headset with 3,5 mm jack, and navigate the internet, with the advantages of the Symbian, all things closed in 18 mm of thikness? NOKIA-KEEP IT LIKE THIS!!!

Why do you need TV-out to play games on TV it will play games at QVGA resolution which will be blurr on large display i'm worried will you really afford this phone coz i think you don't have PC right this gaming Phone is just alternate when you don't have any other entertainment option and do you really know what is use of graphic chip or just posting after listening others and who say SE dont hang my frnd they hang too i have w700i which some time stuck during playing song don't know why and may be not knowing but s40v3/v5 is fastest UI just compare photo browsing time of SE with any S40v3 it opens file in fraction of seconds

Forgive my curiosity and doubts. Gaming over a phone with slide mechanism seems kinda puzzling to me. If I may opine ... gaming forecasts very serious keypress, jerks, thumbpress on unpredicatble places and in awkward directions. Aren't all these things going to hurt the slide mechanism? The first N-Gage was a rock-solid bar-type phone with very handy curves for grips -- if I recall correctly. Would anybody be kind enough to satisfy my queries? M@T2 seems to own a Ph.D in Nok phones. Please? No offense meant.

I meditate to relax & recharge. I don't like phones who can't even change profile without a restart. And so I love Sam.

Some people I know frequent the discos to relax & recharge. They don't mind phones that restart quite frequently -- with or without their explicit permission. And so they like Nok.

There's another category of people. Stagnant people with static lifestyle. They don't mind their phones hanging-still after a hurricane of 7-8 SMS and/or MMS. And so their brand-loyalty goes with SE.

Brand-Loyalty -- a powerful term indeed. The brands have got the illusion of total control over it. Fact is, it depends on not only the consumers' lifestyle but also wisdom [not education].
