This is a great phone.The features are just good for a travelling person.Not to mention the internal memory.

Funny thing is the N82 and N78 have 8-band EQ but their sound is utter crap when compared to N81, so dont use the number of bands as an excuse because its realy irrelevant.

The equalizer of N81 is only 5-band. It can't achieve a good sound effect by tweaking the equalizer. N91, which has 8-band equalizer, can make a song sounds like pop, jazz, acoustic, rock, hiphop, rnb. But in the case of N81 you can't do it. No matter how you tweak the equalizer you can't make the song sound like jazz or pop, etc.

Better egronomics, better quality materials, better keypad, better select keys, better looks, isnt a fingerprint magnet like n78, lighter weight, keypad lock, tv-out, lens cover, 5mp camera, video at 30fps, accelerometer, at least 10 n-gage demos with an unlock code for one game, xpress-on covers, bright dual led light for video recording, 4gb card in the retail package, need i go on? The n79 is simply an n85 in a candybar form.
If you want to talk about the n78, do it in the n78 forum. Stop coming here or the n79 forum.

Why are you disappointed n78 users here, in case you cant read this is N81 Forum, then again most n78 users are uneducated hence why they buy a pointless phone and say the gap between it and N79 is not huge when it is, what a shame. HowardForums and Symbian-Freak all have complained about the n78, i think they even have a forum dedicated to its bugs and why its crap, N81 never had that lol. Anyway you lost n78 users better get back to your forum, complaints are flooding in, if you're able to write so much crap in N81 Forum you should help fellow n78 users.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970n78 and n79 are just the same phones. it is just that n79 has 5mp camera, and tv-out plus 32mb ram more. but basically they're the same phones! the gap between them is not that huge. n78 is meant to be mass marketed that's why the price and feature sets suggest so. n81 is not that's why it has a certain market niche only. n81 is not better than n78. n78 may have lost to n81 when it comes to music and gaming, but n78 beats n81 in camera, gps, hsdpa, battery life hands down. n78 is a better buy than n81 because n78 is better than n81!

Just go to the N78 forum. You'll find more complaints there than there are in this forum.
BTW I've had a feel of the N78 in my local shop. Indeed, it does feel cheaper. And music playback via headphones sound like a cheap MP3 player. After listening to 2 songs, my ears hurt. But the camera is as good as N73's.

man i swear n81 -sound just great. better than n91 i tried the song "runaway"on both the phones and n81-is the best in style and sound
