Kenzo, 07 Oct 2008Were did u see that the Nokia N96 has no Navi-weel and cnt ... morehow many times will i have to tell you that n96 has no touch sensitive naviwheel! all it has is the naviwheel breathing, not the actual naviwheel. and also, vga 30fps video recording on n96 is fake! the highest video quality is set to 352x288 px @ 15fps only. try to record a video with quality setting set to high, then check the details of the recorded video, its CIF not VGA!!! and also the frame rate is not comparable to a 30fps. the current v10 firmware and processor of n96 cannot support VGA 30fps video recording! if you still dont believe, then go a cellphone shop and try it for yourself!

Actualy buying a Garmin or TomTom device can cost as little as R1500 and a Lil Sony digi cam for R2500, thats only R4000 spent yet n78 is R4300. ATLEAST if i buy a Garmin i get Superior and exact GPS positioning in less than a second, and if i buy a lil Sony digicam i get optical zoom and far better pictures and can still listen to superior audio music in my N81 and play games that are at PS1 level rather than carry around my heavy PSP.
Atleast its justifiable to get N81 since audio is louder and better quality than a iPod Nano, and because its lighter, and smaller than a PSP and still offers great gaming, and ON TOP OF THAT i can buy an external BT GPS Reciever at just R500 and have a very quick and exact GPS position in my N81.
So i guess you've read what the guys said below, indeed the n78 is the buggiest and worst midiocre Nseries with no solid market, N79 here i come :-P forget poor n78

Alll reviews confirm the N96 has a Navi-weel and records video @ VGA 30fps.......smape.com gsmarena.com and mobile-review.com.....all confirm the same thing......

N96 isnt really buggy as compared to n78. Its main problem is a few restarts, but is fine overall (software wise). I havent heard/seen any other problems from the n96 forum. As for the n78, well...just go to the n78 forum and see the complaints. Im not sure how many have been fixed by the firmware.
As for the unruly n78 supporters shoving their solution down every other nokia phone forum (n81, n79, n82, n85, n95, n95 8gb, n96), stop it. We know you love your phone. Just stop going to other forums and dissing every phone that isnt n78. It is very childish. Every phone has its strengths and weaknesses. Why dont you instead try and help those who want to learn more about the device or those who actually need help?!

If you'd rather buy an iPod Nano and PSP to replace a N81, then it would make sense to just buy a Garmin SatNav Device, a proper Digi SLR Camera or Sony Cyber-Shot 7.2mp digicamera than get a N78 lol!!
Atleast the N81 is known to be better than an iPod Nano at sound and FAR more practical than a PSP SO it makes sense to get it. Ive got a PSP and now hardly play it.
On the other hand the N78 loses BY FAR at GPS positioning when compared to a dedicated Garmin Nuvi or TomTom GPS device, and the N78 cant take great pics like an SLR or a nice little Sony 7.2mp digi cam LMAO! Oh so realy n78 is not so great LOL!
Yes N81 is made for us spoilt teens who know whats good and smart enough to wait for a N79 or 5800XM Tube cause us spoilt teens arent dumb to buy the pointless n78 scam like poor adults who havent amounted to anything would fall for n78 and even ex s40 users who could finaly get a Nseries! :-D

LOL! This n78 fanboy is still here talkin trash? Lol, N78 is a better buy than N81? LMAO! Oh goodness. It must be Comedy hour. If the n78 is so great then please go back to its forum and bask in its buggyness and complaints, thanx. :) N96 is fine, the fact that it doesnt have a navi wheel and a few of its specs changed is understandable since its running a new and different hardware platform, that doesnt mean its buggy, it means nokia changed a few specs to match the hardware. CIF @ 15fps makes more sense than VGA @ 15fps that the n78 got. A larger res with a low frame rate just doesn't look good. The N96 is as fast as a N95, ive used both N96 and n78. The N96 is a nice quality product unlike the latter which is a public testing of the waters unit. Now run a long back to n78 creaky forum, lots of complaints waiting to be solved yet here you are trying to justify why a poor product like n78 should be bought over a niche product like N81. Sad. Go help the n78 users.

and please stop saying that n78 is the most buggy fp2 device becos nothing can be worse than n96 when it comes to software issues. n96 has no naviwheel and records video only in CIF resolution @15fps as opposed to what the technical specs says that it has naviwheel and VGA 30fps video recording!!! also n96 takes ages to open an application. now are ya still going to bash n78 in this matter? n96 is the worst fp2!

they that n81 is a ultimate gaming mobile cause it has a couple of buttons but haha those buttons are hard as my old tv buttons
i have tried n-gage on n78. I played asphalt 3 in landscape mode it was an amazing experience it was very fast nice graphics it was great
and also i played space impact on both mobiles and honestly n78 was better.:)

just nokia release this firmware and it will become ultimate :-):)

Tsepz, 04 Oct 2008It actualy wasnt going to cost more to put a LED flash or a... moreyou are making me rofl! you're making statements about n78 being a bad product wherein you haven't got a chance to at least touch the phone for even a minute! poor you! your opinion about n78 is based on your exaggerated imagination! i have tried many n81s already from my classmate, from my friend and even from my network operator business center. n81 is a very cheap phone. only young teenagers in high school can appreciate its feature sets. n78 is a better buy than n81, i mean a lot better. n78 is an alternative for many devices like those people who want a better n73 replacement, a more affordable n82 or a more functional n81 alternatives they should get the N78...

The N91's TI OMAP arm9 cpu has a DSP and does do some processing a long side the Toshiba DAC33 chip, everyone knows that.
Lol if you felt the n78 was so great then you wouldn't be here talking trash, you'd be helping the other n78 users who are having problems with that buggy device, theres so many users complaining about it, and yes it is cheaper built than a N81.
You ex s40 users are realy making me laugh though.

if autofocus shoulda been added to n91's camera, as well as 352x416px screen, 30fps video, then these woulda been added to n91's already hefty price tag! i guess you don't know anything about marketing. n91 was the first s60 3rd edition device to be developed but it took a almost a year for it to be released after its announcement.
n81 is not a phone. it's a toy! it's cheap. n78, for your info, is solidly built except for the lil shaky back cover. but n81 feels more cheap to hold than n78. n81 in this age and time is really outdated. and another thing to note is that the arm9 processor has nothing to do with audio output reproduction on n91. the job is done by a dac not by the cpu. only phones without dac rely on their cpu for audio reproduction.
