For someone who had both phones, or at least who is a music fan: do you know which sounds better- the N81 or the older N91 ?
I mean...just in music sound terms!

FL3 means Flash lite 3. This is incorporated on mobiles like N95 8gb and N82 and it´s useful for example to watch you tube videos directly on your phone.

FW updates fix bugs and improve the phone's functionality. Almost every Nokia phone (especially smartphones) are given FW updates to add new features or improve the performance of the phone (ie. brighter screen resolution, demand paging, increased voice clarity, etc.)

Yes, very disappointing indeed. Nokia focused on their camera phones that they forgot that there are others who have purchased their music phones. Nokia has to make an update for N81.

Like mine because its a great looking phone, it has everything i want: lots of RAM to multitask, fast CPU, realy quick UI,a nice 2.4" inch screen, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, a touchsensetive navi wheel like a iPod, Symbian S60v3, a dedicated sound chip that gives a great sonic experience, 3.5mm jack for any headphones, 3G, 2-stereo speakers, great design, Ngage gaming with Gaming keys, music key and realy not many software bugs, realy is an excellent phone :-) would just like NOKIA to give it a FW update to correct a few things and maybe add FL3.

Im starting to loose confidence in NOKIA giving the N81 an FW update, the N82 is already getting its 2nd or 3rd update, the N73 has had 2 updates since January yet N81 has only had one which came out in end of November07 :-(

This phone is absolutely GREAT.I.just love the gaming buttons.....And you know what's even better???The freakin 8GB onboard shared memory!!!

Hi,
I am from Chennai, India. I am planning to buy out Nokia N81. I am looking for wi-fi, gaming and songs experience more than anything. Please suggest me if this phone is the best choice? I can afford upto INR 15,000/-.
Or Is N81 8GB and E51 worth buying than these?
I heard that N81 has poor battery life. Is it true? I think it all depends on your usage, Isn't it? Or is the battery life really bad?
Please give me true and honest feedback for my buying!

now i am thinking of buying a new phone
soo i was thinking abt N81(8 gb)
.........also thus N81 gives the same sound quality for BOSE like N91 ???
and also wats the cost of N81 in India ??

Yes it can. You'll need to download and install DivX Player for Symbian. But first, you'll need Nokia PC Suite to install SIS and SISX files.
DivX Player is compatible with most Series 60 version 3 smartphones.

If a cameraphone is what you want, Nokia N82 is undoubtedly the best.
For music phone: Samsung i450, Nokia N81, SE W960
For style: Nokia E51
For all-in-one device: any variant of Nokia N95, Nokia E90
But if you're willing to wait, and have enough money to spend, then Nokia N96, SE G900 or SE XPERIA X1 are you're best bets.
I recommend you wait for reviews for the following phones before you decide to purchase any of them.
