        @ Sorin again

I haven't tried using the .wav format yet. I use .mp3 and .aac most of the time.

          @ Sorin

          Try reformatting the flash drive.

Go to Menu - Tools - Utilities - Memory - Options - Format mass memory.

Be careful though. Once you reformat, all data content will be lost/erased. Make sure you backup all your essential/important data first.

I just got my brand new n81 8gb two days ago here in Bangkok, Thailand. I bought it for music, for high quality sound. And, here is my problem: the phone is pre-loaded with tons of garbage music (Thai pop) that I cannot delete. Can anyone tell me how can I get rid of all this junk? My second question is: can I really transfer wav files to this phone? How?
I chose this model so that I could have MY own music in WAV format on it. Thanks, Sorin

I don't think so. The device needs to have a DVB-H, which I think N81 does not have. But I don't really know if Nokia can somehow implement TV-Out on firware updates.
So all I can say is it is possible.

I wanted to ask,do you think NOKIA would/could implement TV-Out in N81's next FW update? Since it has the 3.5mm jack already so doesnt it just need software for this?
                @ Cad
Ye that motion sensor is known as an Accelerometer, the N82, N93,N93i,N95 ,N95-8GB AND N96 have it.

It has not yet been confirmed if N81 will be able to flash to the new S60 9.3. Fortunately, the hardware specs of this device will be able to cope with the new software changes. The only dilemma N81 users (as well as Symbian 9.2 FP1 users) is facing is whether Nokia will implement the new Symbian software on future firmware upgrades

Ay man,my homey got this N82 ish,its tyt,we even discovered yesterday by accident that it has motion sensor, well in tha music player,if you hold tha phone in landscape mode, tha screen automatically orientates from portrait to landscape too and vice versa.Daym, thats like central gravity sensing technology,N-Series is tha best!

Just go to Virgin at EastGate, they have it or had it in December for R5099. Dam 8GB Special Edition? Where did you hear about it? Or see it?
It would be great if we could update our N81s to os9.3 i mean since it has the hardware already

I heard that with the new Nokia N-series phones that have S6O 9.3 Feature Pack 2 software, the navi-wheel functions in ALL THE MENUS on the phones. Yes,not just in gallery, music player and multimedia menu but everywhere! I know that we N81 owners are feeling very jealous, especially me. Id just like to know,is it possible for me to load-upgrade my software to v9.3 feature pack 2? if so then how? I am very eager to try this out and enjoy the courtesy of my n-gage music powerhouse. thanks

its my dream phone. i have a n91-5 right now & 4gb is not sifficient for me cos i collect & listen to music a lot. i dont need n95 or n96. just this n81 8gb or even n91 8gb would be enough for me. im not so demanding. but i dont have money to buy it. i think im gonna stick with my good old n91 for now until my wish come true. :(

I own an N81 8gb and its a very good phone. Ive owned it for 3 months now and so far the problems are:

                                      - Poor camera
                                      - Poor build quality

The phone already makes cracking noises.. The back cover gets scratched extremely quickly.

But other than that, the software is brilliant, its quick, and the other features are amazing.
