@Don try a hard reset as shown below. Reinstalling the firmware might help aswell.
Always do a backup first.
If you reinstall the firmware do a hard reset after it then restore your data if needed.

Would it be possible to reinstall the software of N82 previously on V31.0.016? Because i have a lot of problems with this phone. Will reinstalling fix the problems? Thanks.

Helo All,
please help.. i have a problem with this Phone. The bluetooth is not working and also N-gage is not working, even though the firmware is already in V31.0.016. PLease help. Thanks.

I also recommend to format and defrag the memory card to improve stability and speed.
You can do this by using your windows os deframenter. Use the phone on transfer mode and obviously make a backup of your memory card first, just copy and paste though, pc suite is way to slow.

I forgot to mention that the battery backup on this phone is very good also(not as good as the N79 though) The other day I listed to 4 hours of music, 2 hours wifi, 30 minutes of calls and a few sms and still had 4 bars of charge left at the end of the day.
For those having some issues with the phone, make a backup first! do a hard reset by either typing *#7370# or by pressing and holding * 3 green(call button) and the power on key at the same time while fone is off.

I think maybe that problem caused by some kind of virus, so I both formatted the memory card and hard reset my N82 (switch off N82, push and hold CALL, * and 3 buttons at once, switch on my phone with my right hand and my left hand still hold these buttons for awhile). After that, my N82 could installed any jar files like it was before.

N81 vs N82 which of dis has a better sound quality both on loud speaker n on head-phone.Bcos i'm confuse on which one to buy.Bcos i love taking pictures n love hearing music.Pls help me out.

I can't believe how much I like this phone. I've had quite a few phones but none could have me pleased till I found this one. It's simply great.
I find the tiny keys even easier to handle than my N79.
Just upgraded to the latest firmware and works like a charm.
N82-N95, best nokia's phone ever.
Nokia, please, give us a worthy successor!

hello all,in march for my bday i got the nokia 5800 because it was so new,symbian-touchscreen-good looks(kinda),and my choices were that,N82,N85,and e71,...because i fell in love with touchscrren i went for 5800,its slow,has extremely bad graphics, camera sucks inside,so please,dont make a mistake like i did,i have to wait 2 years to get a new one...pick N82 even today or E72,peace out

Hi everyone, i have a problen with my nokia n82 i can't install any jar files (like opera mini, mig 33 etc)on my nokia n82..... anyone pls help me..... i've a great trouble with my n82......
my next question is if i update my phone into latest firmware than the problem which iencounterd will resolve????
and pls anyone tell me the basic file manager application of anew brand nokia n82....

i wonder why nokia makes us use that stupid nokia software updater to update the firmware.why cannot they make a simple sis or sisx file and make it available for download at there website

after one year of use this are the things which i have noticed with my phone.now the d pad creaks while pressing.color is still intact with some wear and tear at c buttom.the machine is still fast as if it was brought today.i had some problem with my lcd so i got the lcd replaced for 2000 bucks.other than that it is as good as new.

I have been using this mighty & beautiful machine for last 1 year.....
Hey, Nokia N82 is really wonder phone which is a mighty machine with a graceful body.
N82 really rocks. It has the fastest processor wit lots of RAM available for any heavy work. HTML browser is great.I supports everything in symbian world. You can use skyfire webbrowser on it very smoothly which has a embedded flash player, pdf reader, audio o/p driver and lots more..
N82 has really a wonderful camera which really puts up competetion to highly sensitive CMOS Sensor digital camera. Shots a very clear and crispy with lot of detail. Moreover music support is ossom with strong stereo sound support. Hey why to leave Wifi & 3.5G it's a portable broadband connectivity with you all the time.....
There is lot to yalk about this small piece of wonder.... hats off to nokia keep it up.

After these 14 months my N82 (made in China) is still performs flawlessly. Its black finish was never fade away. Once I released front cover (screen) to clean up the dust inside.
