There are times that when right after I open Nokia Maps or GPS data, I get a fix for just less than half a minute. And there are times that it takes around 10 minutes to get a fix. I think it has something to do with the position of the GPS satellites in the space.

n95 8gb is laggy when its memory is almost consumed..and i dont like sliding because it tends to break

But what I do is, I go outside the house for a GPS fix. Once I get a lock on, I go inside the house and my GPS is still connected. I'm talking about the GPS not A-GPS.

i wonder wheather this phone has a real gps chip or not becoz if i turn AGPS off i never got a gps fix.but with AGPS on i get gps fix in my room.has any one got gps fix with AGPS off

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970ahh Dani dude, in general, N95 8GB is not better than N82 vice versa because they have different market segment, N82 is more in photography and video while N95 8GB is more in music and huge screen. call that a truce because their good qualities cancels one another.
it also depends on the persons preference. on my part i like photography and candy bar form factor so N82 wins by mile for me ;) it might be different on your preference to and i will respect that.

I thought there is another battery to maintance timer, but when i asked nokia officer, there is 1 battery only. But i don't know why, it's already fix right now. I don't need to turn the network operator time on. what i did just reformat the phone and use it couple times until almost run out battery but don't let ur phone off because off run out battery, charge it and use it again. Mine just 5 times cycle, now is normal. But i'm not quite sure this will help your phone.

Is time of updating software depends on download speed? The internet i use in my pc is the worst. Download speed is 8kbps only. So how much time would be needed to update software with 8kbps download speed? And what will happen if i disconnect my phone from pc during updating? Is it harmful? Plz help.
