WE want button smartfones too return, stuff all this full touchscreen crud,,.The p900 had a touchscreen but had stylus,keypad 5 way scroll jog dial..Fones used to be fun but i dont like the new cruddy full touchscreen..
Right i have been obssessed with mobiles since 1998 until about 2009 when i actually stopped oobssessing,,i cannot believe its come to this.I just do not like the current crop of fones..
Bring back button fones either candybar or clamshell or scissor type like s/e w900i.Please.

Cult classic. This phone really had staying power. It had more features than the iPhone which came out much later. I simply want a bigger screen and a keypad and more memory and a faster processor now, but this device remains an all-time favorite of its era. One of the few phones that allow me to type by Braille.

The best phone I've ever had. I've been using it for two years. Actually I watching something new now, because N82 is old and slow, but really it was the best smartphone ;) The keyboard is fantastic - the best phone without touchscreen.

I was once the cell guru that had the latest and greatest, but once I got my hands on the N82 (once it was the latest and greatest) I stuck with it, lost it and got another one. And yes keyboard is small but I can text and call without even seeing the phone.
Now I'm not the cell guru anymore, but the paparazzi. Everyone with their iPhones and Android can't compete with the N82... especially with most of the pics at night during parties. I'm thinking of the N8 now, all those Apps I don't see using can't stack up against the camera, in my opinion even if my friends think otherwise.

i had mine, i havnt experience any trouble with my handset. superb camera, 3g, wifi, gps, ect.
but the keypad is simply to scratch, so annoying and it looks so dirty. i cant find any original casing in any nokia stores.!
but overall, the best phone i had this time.
no doubt that i bought this.

RJ, 26 May 2011txting is easy, in some reviews they mention the keypad but... moreI quite agree with you. At first, you will feel regret for buying the phone because of the keypad but you're actually gonna get used to it that, like other cellphones, you can text w/o errors even when colosing your eyes.
The greatest thing i like about N82 is that it's really durable. My N82 has dropped many times and it's still working. My N82 has been with me for more than 2 years already.
And of course, the camera feature of N82 (w/ xenon flash and cover) won't let you down.
and lastly, I am so much happy that i bought this because I can surf the net and watch youtube w/o problems

I've had my nokia n82 for 2 and a half years now and I can say it is the most consistent phone i have ever had. It is extremely practical and writing text messages is a doddle, reviews constantly nock it for having a tiny im-practical keypad. How wrong are they, the small keypad works in favour of the user, after all this time its such a joy to text with. The music player is very good and the GPS is second to none, it recieves a signal in a matter of seconds and leaves my tom tom for dead. The camera is superb and the latest handsets to be honest dont perform any better. This was always the better alternative to the n95 and its proof when both suzy perry and john bently both had this phone. The job that they do and 2 of the 3 presenters at the time chose this as their personal phone. Plus its still rated the 12th best phone on this website yet it is nearly 4 years old. That just shows how good a phone this is and money well spent by me :)

HIT MAN, 25 May 2011Hi Can Someone Tell Me Abot Its Texting Speed or Ez Its Tex... moretxting is easy, in some reviews they mention the keypad buttons as being too small but I haven't had any problems and I've got large(ish) thumbs. I've gotten so used to it that i can txt without looking and if i'm looking i txt faster with predictive txt on than ppl with bb's or iphones. If you have a chance to get a new one..buy it. It's still in the rankings for a reason. you won't be disappointed trust me.

id be buying a new phone soon maybe samsung galaxy5 but ill be keepin my n82 cz it has a great camera with xenon flash, been printing pictures with it so far so good and better than the others!

I'm using this phone for more than 2 years now. Accidents happen and we really can't avoid it. I dropped this so many times, the highest was when it dropped from my bunk bed (it was from the top bed) and hit the solid cement floor. But it's still working fine. Now I'm only using it as my roaming phone, and the latest and horrifying accident just happened. I dropped it on a pail full of water. It was there for like a minute before I actually grab it, remove the back cover, the battery and the SIM card. Put it in front of the portable heater and I let it stay there for like 24hrs. I was so scared that it won't work again but it does. And there's no glitch on its software, it still works as good as it was when I first bought it. The only problem now is that the casing has few scratches on it and its really hard to look for original casing for my phone especially here in Canada. But I think this phone will last a very long time with me. =)
